24.01.2022 Hey everyone, as most of you already know, we've been asked by the Government to stand down for a while in light of COVID-19. It sucks, but we all have to do part to keep the situation under control and reduce unnecessary contact. We'll be closing our doors this afternoon for the foreseeable future. I know a lot of you have been waiting months for your appointments, so we appreciate everyone's understanding that this is a mandatory closure and not something that we are doing... light-heartedly. Anyone with existing bookings will absolutely be given priority appointments when we are back in action, and we will continue to honour any and all vouchers and deposits through this time. The hardest part about closing a small business is when you have so many regulars that most people are no longer 'clients' - but friends, and an important part of our Pins and Needles family, and what makes us 'us'. We'll be back in action in no time, until then, look after each other. We will all get through this together <3 - Marius and Rob

23.01.2022 -Voucher giveaway!- Hey guys, things have been really busy the last few months in the studio - but we're taking a moment to celebrate our birthday this week! It's been 5 years since we opened our doors! Here's a little throwback to the first few days when the shop was just an empty space. Since then, people have come and gone, we've met amazing people and shared stories and laughs while bringing our clients tattoo visions to life. ... A huge thank you to every single person who's ever come through our doors, it's each of you that make this place possible <3 Also - let's give away a voucher to celebrate! 16.01.2022 Happy Halloween! Whether you're getting dressed up, or just sitting at home with candy - the team at Pins and Needles wishes everyone a fun and safe weekend! - Marius and Rob... Almost fully healed IT tattoo, this piece was lots of fun, and I got to try a few different lighting techniques to really bring out the expression in the face. As usual - there's no fancy photoshop here, or any editing other than natural background blur from the camera. This is exactly how the tattoo looks on my clients arm :)

09.01.2022 Hey guys it's Marius here, and on a personal note - last week marked a small milestone myself, I've been in the tattoo industry for 10 years! I got to celebrate by having 4 wisdom teeth out - but even after a week off, I couldn't think of what to say... So I thought I would share a tattoo I did about a year ago, (which is one of my favourites, from my personal page) and also share the exact words - which still hold true to this day. Thank you, to 10 years of amazing clients, ...to 10 years of people who have trusted me to bring their visions to life, and to 10 years of incredible friendships and relationships that have helped me grown, not only as a tattoo artist, but on a personal level as well <3 This is Poe...Poe's a good boi :) I got to do this portrait of my friends doggo today, a piece that I'd been waiting excitedly all week to do. After 8 and a half years of tattooing, it's nice to know that it hasn't lost its lustre - I couldn't wait to get this little guys face looking as happy and excited on skin as he did in the photo's I was working from. I'm a massive dog lover - and I can't begin to say how humbled I am, to be asked to make sentimental tattoos like this and many others, for friends and clients, on a regular basis. Thanks Kat, for the honour of trusting me with this special piece :) (Ps. No editing in this photo, it's fresh, there's a bit of glare, and it's a little red, but it's a nice representation of what it will look like once it settles a bit.)

05.01.2022 Today wraps up our first working week of 2020! We've been lucky enough to have been joined by our friend Jake from Brisbane this week, who's also Pins and Needles very first guest artist! So here's a special thank you for coming on this adventure with us, it's been an absolute pleasure :) While Jake's bookings were snatched up immediately - we promise there will be other chances to get in next time!
