25.01.2022 Looking better.

24.01.2022 Here you are Brendan. First if a few videos.

24.01.2022 Working on a lovely little KTM today. No life from the starter and crap in the carb. Looks like it's been ridden hard, as it should be

23.01.2022 Completed my Racing Licence Application and entered 2 races at the Historic Road Racing meeting in Collie at the end of February. I suppose I should change the oil and filter on the race bike in preparation!

23.01.2022 Shit just got real

23.01.2022 Collected a height adjustable hospital bed at the weekend that with a little sturdier top, will become an excellent bike lift. $220 All up. I love making stuff and practicing welding

16.01.2022 Had a lovely visit from Darren today. Just needed a drop of oil and a cup of tea on his way round. Riding a loop from Perth to Kalgoorlie, down to Esperance and back up the West coast......on a Postie bike! People often talk about 'living the dream', this guy is living one of mine.

15.01.2022 Fingers crossed for my next project. I love custom mopeds. It just really appeals to my inner child. Obviously won't stay like this (if I get it). Not a done deal, but close

14.01.2022 Picked up this little beauty today. So impressed with the little beast. Has a couple of rash marks, but I'm pricing up a new panel immediately.

12.01.2022 Working on a lovely little Polaris quad. Quite old, but seems to be holding up well. Impressed by the built quality.

08.01.2022 I expect that you are thinking 1 or both of the following; those lovely little bikes are rare/that little bike is completely stuffed. Nevertheless, it, or whatever parts I can salvage from it, will become a showpiece for my business. I suppose that the higher the mountain, the greater the view, plus, I'm taking advice from a bloke who knows all there is to know about them.

08.01.2022 I've outgrown the smaller shed without even turning a spanner! I think this space will offer a few more opportunities, it'll have to for what it's costing me!

07.01.2022 Preparing my first trailer for rego. I'm going to name my equipment, because I can, and this one is 'Chico' after a top bloke who helps me heaps.

05.01.2022 When you're not sure if you're wasting your time repairing rusty trailers and you're just feeling a little apprehensive about your new business in general, Fisherman's Friends know. Fisherman's Friends send you a free cap for liking all their Facebook posts. That's why they're not called Fisherman's Lozenges, because they're your friend.

04.01.2022 Then there were 3! Would you believe I was donated this 6x4 by a stranger? Thank you universe, not sure if I owe you, or we're quits, either way, thanks

04.01.2022 Spent a few hours doing my favourite job; tuning mopeds! Very reasonably, a potential customer pointed out a 'flat spot' in throttle response that I had barely realised I was riding around on the black Vespa. Neither blue Vespa s had the flat spot. Investigation showed that the black Vespa was missing the brass plate that restricted air flow on the 2 blue bikes. Further investigation revealed that all 3 bikes were running the same 53 main jet. Further evidence (if you needed it) that isolated 'improvements' are rarely that, and that engine components work in harmony with each other. It didn't take long to find a good example of the same bike, brass plate out running well on a 60 main jet on You Tube. Do it properly or leave it alone.

03.01.2022 Always regretted selling my Monkey bike. Just bought this beauty. Waaaaay better condition than my last one.

02.01.2022 Covid 19 had a fairly big impact on Mitchell Motorcycles. I haven't posted anything here for a while because I like to try and keep up-beat, and I'm aware that others have had a tougher time than me, but you've all got imaginations - just reverse the picture of me putting my sign up: I've had to let my premises go, and work mobile. Unfortunately for me, many other housebound riders took the spare time on their hands to do their own maintenance and servicing. To keep myself busy (and sane) I have continued with a couple of my own projects, photos of which I will post up very soon. In short, I'm still open for business, but I'll have to come to you

02.01.2022 Obvious after you've realised; I don't want castors on the floor when I've got an elevated bike - only when the platform is lowered for moving and to support the end when loading. Very nearly done now. The castors are locking.

02.01.2022 Acquired an old timer, for the purists.
