03.01.2022 Don't miss this great opportunity to create new poetry with Emelia Haskey.

02.01.2022 Spoken Word SA is proud to announce our new team member Sarah Jane Justice who will be taking over many key roles including that of MC for all of the slams. Sarah is a poet, performer and national finalist of the Australian Poetry Slam. Kami will be taking less of a role this year but will still be seriously involved. Daniel Watson will be doing whatever it is that he does. And then there is ‘the man in the back room’ Ian Gibbins. The live events would also be impossible with...out our great team of volunteers and of course you, the poets and audience. Sarah Jane Justice is a songwriter, spoken word artist, poet, author, and performer. In the field of spoken word, she has won the Goolwa Poetry Cup, the Northern Fringes Slam, the Salisbury Fringe Slam, and presented twice at Adelaide Writers’ Week. After being named SA state champion in the 2018 Australian Poetry Slam, she competed as a national finalist in the competition at the Sydney Opera House. Her written poetry has been published by The Blue Nib, Capsule Stories, and South Broadway Press, and her short fiction has been featured in releases by The Bombay Review, Eerie River Publishing, and Caustic Frolic. As a singer-songwriter, she has created three studio releases of original music, as well as a one-woman cabaret show performed at the 2016 Adelaide Fringe Festival
