22.01.2022 Hi guys, Let's say "get fireworked" to 2020 on NEW YEARS EVE....ON THE FORESHORE@STURT RESERVE and share with you the announcement advertised on the MB Council's page if you're not aware: FIREWORKS and lighting up the iconic bridge will headline New Year’s Eve celebrations for Murray Bridge locals as they welcome in a brighter 2021.... The Rural City of Murray Bridge is hosting a COVIDSAfe ticketed event on the foreshore at Sturt Reserve, FREE for local residents from 5:00pm on THURSDAY 31 Dec 2020. FOOD TRUCKS will be on-site to offer easy dinner options, while local musicians Collective Cabaret, Chasing Lights and Hannah Smith will provide the tunes. Gates open at 5:00pm at Sturt Reserve with the fireworks display launching at 9:45pm from the Murray Bridge road bridge. Road closures will be in place. We look forward to share NYE 2020! & look forward to feeding you as well! #minipancakes #familytime #poffertjespitstop #getinmybelly To ensure a COVIDSAfe environment where contact tracing can be achieved, the event will be fenced and free tickets must be booked at https://www.eventbrite.com.au/e/murray-bridge-new-years-eve QR Code check in will be required at the gate. Other measures to ensure community safety will include COVID Marshals, cleaning schedules and sanitiser stations for patrons. Family groups will be asked to stay together. Sturt Reserve is a designated dry zone and this will be strictly enforced. Licensed venue Murray Bridge Community Club will open function areas for dining and its balcony will be open to provide a perfect vantage point for the fireworks display. Riverscape restaurant with a prime fireworks view is also taking dinner bookings.
