22.01.2022 Hi all With no changes to date in the COVID-19 situation in NSW we are still good to go tomorrow. If you are feel unwell please do not attend the comp. If you have symptoms, get tested. Symptoms include fever, cough, sore/scratchy throat, shortness of breath, runny nose, loss of taste or smell. Self-isolate until you get your results.... Tomorrow`s comp gets the club back in the park and back in the water. It`s been a while. The return of the Endless Plomer

19.01.2022 Hi all Everything is still on track for next Saturday`s October Long Weekend comp. Please remember: ... The medical advice is that we should all do everything we can to implement what is called social distancing. In practice, this means limiting physical and social contact, not shaking hands, hugging or kissing and avoiding, wherever possible, being in close contact with lots of other people. The community’s safety is our top priority when they visit our event at Point Plomer. Please remind people to always keep 1.5 metres, or about a towel-length, apart from others and to not gather in groups of more than 20 in line with the Public Health Orders (September 2020). Please consider downloading the COVIDSafe app. Please bring your own beach gear. In addition to beach essentials, pack extra hand sanitizer, extra drinking water, and avoid sharing items such as food, equipment, toys, and supplies, with people that don’t live with you. We have a shared responsibility. Everyone has a role to play controlling the spread in public gatherings. All competitors will need to sign on and provide their contact details. Each division will be designated a specific time slot that they are surfing to avoid all competitors being together at one time. Competitors arrive one heat prior to their heat. Competitors must rinse and hang up their own rash shirts after each heat. EMERGENCY CONTACTS: in an emergency situation dial 000 COVID-19 hotline 1300 550 139 and is resourced from 8:00 am till 5:00 pm. The hotline should be used for any general advice or to report a suspected or confirmed case of COVID-19. Local Hospital: Kempsey Hospital (02) 6561 2600 Nearest GP: Crescent Head Medical Centre (02) 6566 1712 Nearest Chemist: Crescent Head Pharmacy (02) 6566 0908 It will be good to get the club back together and epic conditions are possible.

14.01.2022 Hi all It`s one week until the 25th Annual Point Plomer Malibu Club Easter Classic, sponsored by Chop n Chill www.chopnchill.com.au that was to be held on Easter Sunday, April 4th. The comp, at this stage, is very unlikely to go ahead.... We have received the following message from National Parks in regards to parks in the Macleay and Hastings areas: "At this stage the campgrounds and parks have been closed until the 19th April. We are working hard to get things reopened" I will keep you posted if things change. Our next comp, if nothing else happens, will be the Graeme Kelly Memorial on Sunday, June 13th; the June long weekend, with music by Justin 'Happydayz' band The Indigo Trinity. Should be a great get together and rockin night. Don`t forget our 25th Anniversary Celebration will be coming up on Saturday, October 2nd. We`ve booked The Roys to play so it`s guaranteed to be a party. A one-off 25th Anniversary T-shirt will be produced for this event so please let us know what size and how many you`d like so we can gauge numbers. 10.01.2022 Hi all Last Sunday`s 2020 Gromfest went off with over 30 frothin groms participating. Despite having everything from squalls to sunshine everyone had a fun time.... Thanks to all who helped out to make the day a success for the kids. Jack C. won the boys with Tommy H. runner up. Lola V. won the girls with Sunny H. runner up. The Plomer Spirit was won by Lillian R. who despite having taken a bump from her board in her heat went back out and surfed on through to the Girl`s Final. The 2020 Gromfest brings this year`s events to a close. 2020 has seen a number of changes brought in due to Covid-19, new caretakers (a big thank you to Dale, the Schaeche and Radley families for their support over many years) and National Parks requirements but the club has been able to navigate its way through and come out the other side. Jon and I would like to say thank you to all those who have helped at club events, and behind the scenes, throughout the year. We always need help at our events so please jump in, it`s your club. Many thanks also to Chop n Chill https://www.chopnchill.com.au/ in Port Macquarie, our major sponsor for events, who despite the difficulties caused by Covid-19 continued to support the club. Coming into 2021 Jon will continue on as President, Matt C. will come in as Treasurer (a big thank you to Matt also for stepping into this position despite the hectic schedule he maintains) and I will remain as Secretary. We welcome any questions or suggestions you have about running the club or our events so please get in touch and let us know. 2021 will also be the club`s 25th Anniversary and plans are in the works to celebrate this so watch this space. 10.01.2022 Hi all The 2020 Graeme Kelly Memorial comp scheduled for Sunday June 7th HAS BEEN CANCELLED. Due to NSW Government COVID-19 restrictions, advice from NSW National Parks and Surfing NSW competition guidelines we can not hold the comp. If you are at Plomer next Sunday, or having a beer (or cider) somewhere, raise one for Graeme.

10.01.2022 Hi all Happy New Year A date has been set for the club`s 25th Anniversary bash; Saturday, October 2nd. Mark this date down. We will still run our comp on that ...day with the fun to start thereafter. The details are yet to be finalised but there will be food, drink, music, dancin, and festivities. We will also be having a limited edition 25th Anniversary T-shirt made (design and pricing to come). So we can get an idea of numbers and sizes please let us know if you`d like one, or more, and what size/s. More to come! OCTOBER LONG WEEKEND COMP & 25th Anniversary Night SATURDAY, OCTOBER 2nd See you at The Endless Plomer See more

03.01.2022 Next weekend`s scheduled Interclub Mick Branch Memorial has been cancelled. My apologies for not notifying everyone sooner. After discussions with the Port club we agreed, for a number of reasons, that the event would not be able to be held. Our next comp is scheduled for Saturday, October 3rd. Hopefully things will remain stable between now and then which means Bacon n Egg Breaky right through to Preso in the arvo, with maybe a few changes due to COVID 19 requirements. We will also be presenting the Division Champions from Grommits through to Over 60`s and following this we will hold the club`s AGM. Club memberships for 2020 will be due on this day. If you are planning on camping that weekend you will need to book online at:https://www.nationalparks.nsw.gov.au//point-plomer-campgro See you at the Endless Plomer

02.01.2022 One of the best in Port!

02.01.2022 Hi all The October Long Weekend Comp scheduled for Saturday, October 3rd is on, finally. After discussions with National Parks over the past few months, we now have to complete an Activity Agreement for the club`s events, and the club has to submit an Event COVID-19 plan for each event. At least we can now go ahead with the October Comp but under certain conditions. It will be a comp only event; grommets through to Over 60s followed by a preso (BYO). Merch will be on sale but that`s it. There will be no Bacon n Egg breakky, nor the scheduled Surfin Cinema. The club`s AGM will be held over until the Christmas Member`s MASH up comp as will the 2019 Division Champion`s presentation. It`s a first step and we hope, with improvements in the COVID-19 situation, to be able to expand our activities for the Xmas comp. Baby steps!
