25.01.2022 K-2 MOVIE DAY & FUN FAIR Y6 are holding a fundraising day tomorrow for students in ES1 and S1. Fun Fair activities will be available for $1 each and for $5 students may view the movie "SCOOB'. Students must bring cash on the day only (no online payments) and small notes and coins are preferred. Students in Stages 2&3 will have their day on Friday 27 November, notes will be sent home tomorrow.

18.01.2022 **CAMP UPDATE - IMPORTANT PLEASE READ** Dear Parents/Carers, Point Wolstoncroft is still on! However there have been a few changes due to the wet weather.... Group 1 was set to depart from school at 8am and arrive back at school at 7pm on the Monday. This has now been changed to 4pm. Tomorrow we are hoping the weather has cleared up and have extended the Tuesday session to 7pm. We have swapped the times around. All companies have been notified of the changes. Fingers crossed for better weather tomorrow. REMINDER 4pm today, 7pm tomorrow. Thanks Stage 3 Teachers.

12.01.2022 GUIDANCE FOR COMMUNITY USE AND VISITORS TO THE SCHOOL TERM 4 ADVICE Non-essential adults are still not permitted on school grounds or at school events. ... This includes parents and carers except for face-to face parent/teacher meetings that are essential (e.g. to discuss disciplinary or other welfare matters). P&C meetings should continue online only. P&C social events or functions including dinners, fundraisers, fetes and barbecues that involve parents and other adults are not permitted in Term 4.

09.01.2022 Jump Start This week was our second week of the new Jump Start program. We have been super excited to welcome all our new kindergarten students for 2021. So far they have enjoyed literacy activities and a sport day, with three more weeks ahead where they will engage in Maths, STEAM, Library and Creative Arts. ... The teachers have raved about how amazing all the kids are. A big shout out to all our jump start parents and families for being so accommodating during these COVID times and making arrangements to get their kids to the program. We are looking forward to the next few weeks and we cannot wait to see those smiling faces again.

08.01.2022 STUDENT TESTING FOR COVID-19 If a student is unwell, staff must refer the student to the sick bay or other appropriate area where they can be isolated and the school must arrange for the parent or carer to take the student home. Flu-like symptoms include fever, cough, sore throat, shortness of breath, loss of taste, and loss of smell. If a student has been absent due to flu-like illness or develops flu-like symptoms while at school, they are not to return to school until they... have a negative COVID-19 test and are symptom-free. Where a school has difficulty obtaining a COVID-19 test result, for example where a parent or carer is unwilling to allow their child to undertake a COVID-19 test or provide the school with a negative COVID-19 test result, the student is to be excluded from school for a 10 day period. The student must be symptom-free for at least 3 days before returning to school.

If you are intending to collect your children early from the school at this time please consider adjusting your arrival by at least 10 to 15 minutes either side of 2 pm to avoid disappointment.... 06.01.2022 To celebrate Book Week 2020, PCPS will be hosting a Virtual Book Fair in Term 4. This is a great chance to buy quality books at warehouse prices. Look out for the link to our Virtual Portal in Week 1, Term 4. The CBCA book week theme is 'Curious Creatures, Wild Minds', students will also participate in a Book Parade on Friday 23 October (T4, W2). Students come dressed as their favourite book character, curious creature or wild mind.

03.01.2022 Always tough to say goodbye to our Year 6 students. This year has been super difficult for everyone but this group of students has shown real grit, determination and resilience and made it to the end of primary school with their smiles intact. A truly memorable group of students who will most definitely be missed. All the best for High School!

01.01.2022 YEAR 6 FORMALS AND GRADUATIONS Year 6 formals and graduations can take place in Term 4. Schools should use the COVID-19 Safety Plan guidance for year 12 graduation ceremonies and formals to support planning for these events. Further advice around what we will be doing for our Year 6 students will be provided during early Term 4. Year 6 to Year 7 orientation can proceed from 12 November following the conclusion of the HSC. ... Schools may hold a Year 6 assembly to recognise the completion of primary school. Refreshments may be provided at the school for Stage 3 students and staff only if students bring their own food or single-portion packaged food is provided. Disposable plates and cutlery must be used.
