25.01.2022 Concerts are slowly returning.

23.01.2022 Little C plays Lightly Row ! Bravo

22.01.2022 Little M plays O Come Little Children! So proud of her adjusting so well to a bigger new violin that she got for her birthday I remember as a little kid, I played on a slightly bigger violin and I had to stretch my fingers - but the sound was so much better and that made up for the inconvenience. It’s good training for a child who has the perseverance.... I asked her if she will work harder to stretch her fingers if her parents buy the bigger violin, she nodded emphatically with a Yes! Kudos to Little M and her determination

22.01.2022 Enjoy The Sound of Music One of the fun part of learning the violin is you don’t have to play classical pieces all the time ! Well played Miss G ! Bravo

20.01.2022 So happy to receive this recording of the 2nd movement of Vivaldi’s Violin Concerto in A minor. Great interpretation for a primary school kid - some kids only like to play the 1st movement (fast and lively tune), and find the 2nd movement too boring. But Miss G has discovered beauty in the simple melodic line that Vivaldi has created Well done Miss G

13.01.2022 Enjoy Frank Bridge Meditation, another AMEB exam piece. This beautiful piece which my 12-year-old student put all her emotions into the music will tear your heart out So proud of her lovely vibrato, which we worked on using it to enhance the nuances in this piece. Bravo

08.01.2022 Miss B has a recording of Perpetual Motion to share ! She’s been busy practising and recording - her little siblings were too distracting in her previous recordings. She had to wait until they go to bed to get this version recorded. Kudos to Miss B’s determination and well done

06.01.2022 She got A - Honours in her exams ! What an achievement for Miss S during this difficult Covid times, where she has had only Zoom lessons for her exam preparation. Bravo

05.01.2022 Miss S is doing a dress rehearsal for her upcoming AMEB exam. She exudes confidence in herself and her playing So proud of her attitude in the New Normal. She’s on track to play more beautiful music on her violin after we had a gruelling lesson on vibrato yesterday. She plays 4 pieces here - all were coached during our online Zoom lessons in the last two terms. She introduces each piece in this video. Enjoy

03.01.2022 Little M enjoys practising her violin ! Here she plays another piece called Go Tell Aunt Rhody. She has been working on violin technique to improve her tone and she has made great improvement ! Bravo

03.01.2022 So proud of my student who learned this piece through Zoom lessons during our Lockdown 2.0, and then having the courage to sign-up for the AMEB Exams ! With much practice in improving her bow distribution during the running notes and a relaxed bow grip, she's managed to nail the piece Her first violin concerto ! Enjoy this rehearsal of one of the exam pieces - 1st Movement of Vivaldi Violin Concerto in A Minor.

02.01.2022 Einstein was an avid violinist !

01.01.2022 Little C is in the mood for recording ! She sends me another piece - Song of the Wind. So happy to see her thriving at her online lessons. I haven’t seen my students since March and I’m so proud of their perseverance . Keep up the practising Little C - I can’t wait to give you a big hug
