13.02.2022 It’s been a struggle to get together in these times as young people to ‘create’ and be ‘seen’. But today was a GREAT day! Duniya Behter Project saw our amazingly creative young people come together with @Mimi Leung, Jon YungKily and Ree Peric to enable these talented minds with their passions be seen in full colour at Point of Difference Studio! 18.01.2022 The KYR/POD family would firstly like to acknowledge Yorta Yorta and Bangerang Nations for allowing us to write our stories on their land, as they are the custodians of the land on which we live on. We would like to acknowledge and show our respect to their elders past, present and emerging. We also would like to wish all of our Muslim communities a blessed Ramadan. Ramadan is considered one of the holiest months of the year for Muslims. In Ramadan, Muslims commemorate the ...revelation of the Qur’an, and fast from food and drink during the sunlit hours as a means of drawing closer to God and cultivating self-control, gratitude, and compassion for those less fortunate. Ramadan is a month of intense spiritual rejuvenation with a heightened focus on devotion, during which Muslims spend extra time reading the Qur’an and performing special prayers. Those unable to fast, such as pregnant or nursing women, the sick, or elderly people and children, are exempt from fasting. This is a great opportunity to practice inclusion within workplaces and educational institutions by allowing prayer times to be extended, being mindful that fasting can cause fatigue and offer resting spaces. This is also a great opportunity to celebrate diversity by inviting or attending dinners to break fast with your colleagues and friends. 12.01.2022 We missed this when it first came out , Point of Difference Studio has been fortunate to host Shepparton Culture Kitchen a collaborative project between Multicultural Arts Victoria, @Greater Shepparton City Council and Primary Care Connect! At the end of last month, eight beautiful women of colour came together to discuss their love for food and begin their journey on sharing their stories through food.
