25.01.2022 I had the pleasure this evening to view some amazing prototypes that the children of Bonnet Bay Public School designed in their STEM class for people experiencing homelessness. It’s thanks to the passion and bravery of teachers like Emma Follett, Rebecca Harvey and Lauren Braun that these students got to understand and think deeply about the complexities of an issue like homelessness. 22.01.2022 We are proud to be involved with Kingsway Community Care who are putting their hand up for homelessness in the Sutherland Shire and Georges River areas of Sydney. Yesterday they opened the first adult crisis accommodation service in the Georges River region. This venture is the first of its kind and will serve as a platform to pioneer further homelessness services in the area.

Australia has been on fire for more than 6 months and doesn’t look to be slowing up anytime soon. 24 human lives have been lost, an estimated 450 million animals have perished, 15 million acres of bushland has burned, and thousands of people displaced across the country with more than 1,500 homes destroyed and hundreds damaged. ... With more than 135 fires burning across Australia right now, it is feared that the worst is yet to come. We at Points for Purpose are in the process of asking the loyalty programs to allow their points to convert to cash donations but have no links at present. We’ll keep pushing!
