24.01.2022 Swivel hub rebuild in a Nissan Patrol, the axle seals were leaking into the CV join area of the diff, so a full overhaul on this was needed, all new seals, bearings and fresh grease, this tightened up the loose feeling front end of this Patrol.

23.01.2022 Ford Flacon XR6 Turbo came in for ball joints, on test driving I noticed it making a strange noise that wasnt the ball joints. Found a massive exhaust gasket leak from the turbo, then noticed the nut holding the turbo on was completely missing. This is something that was supposed to be fixed by another shop. So I have booked it in to replace the gasket, mounting studs with high grade inconel one and new locking nuts to avoid future disappointment

20.01.2022 VE SSV Ute in today to get some SSSL King springs fitted. Customer already had rims from Mick at The Tyre Solution, found the struts were not performing how they should, so a quick swap over to KYB struts got him on the road and dropped down low.

19.01.2022 Received this trailer in for brakes adjusted and grease wheel bearings, on closer inspection it needed new brakes. This trailer was built in the 70s and the brakes used then simply dont exist anymore so an upgrade needed to be made to hydraulic, requiring a new axle, hubs and brakes. All sorted now and safe for the road again.

The sheer number of people who turned up to show their support was amazing, the cruise was awesome, and to get to meet all these new people who follow our social media was really cool. Thank you to everyone for your support. And an extra big thank you to all my close friends and family for helping behind the scenes. 12.01.2022 Do you have a turbo diesel 4X4? This is a must to keep your intake system clean. Oil catch cans can save you so many hassles and costly repairs. 07.01.2022 Recently fitted up a dual battery system for a customer who is building their van into a camper, this is a voltage sensitive relay, so this isolates the rear battery when you are camping, but when driving the battery gets charged back up by the alternator. Perfect for the weekend getaway or 4X4 camping trip and you need a fridge, lights, charge the phone or even run a water pump from it, with out the risk of waking up and go to head off and hearing that dreaded tik tik, and you cant start your car. Also no need for a jump start if you do as this has a backup way to get power from the rear battery to the front just incase.

04.01.2022 This is fuel I removed from a customers car on a mobile breakdown call out. Car wouldnt start. Carried out all the tests of spark, fuel pressure, compression, then decided to check the fuel. This is what we found. New fuel in and started up right away. 04.01.2022 Pokey's Mechanical is now making stainless steel intake piping. The factory rubber and plastic pipe work on this Dodge Nitro was showing signs of aging, with cracks and splits, losing boost pressure, bringing up engine codes and even going into limp mode. This has eliminated any chance of future failures as well as making the engine bay look a little more flash.
