01.01.2022 NEW INSTRUCTOR ALERT!! We are super excited to have Jess Hodges @jessams89 joining the Pole Play Studios Instructors Team! Originally from England and with an extensive background in gymnastics Jess has been involved in varied styles of dance for many years and enjoys everything from ballet to samba to hip hop, and anything in between! She fell in love with Cairns in 2013 and first discovered Pole Play Studios in November 2017 - and she hasn’t looked back since! Jess... holds a double UK Certificate in Sport and is currently studying the X-Pert Pole Fitness Instructor Levels 1 & 2. She has completed the International Pole Sport Federation (IPSF) Code of Points training, is working on becoming a qualified IPSF Coach and is undertaking a Teacher Training Programme at Pole Play Studios. Jess currently holds the Amateur Senior Women’s 1st Place Title in the Australian Pole Sports Championships, and plans to compete again in the professional division of the APSC in 2021. She also performs regularly in Pole Play Productions as Jessica Bella (formerly Jess Bless). Jess dances a mix of pole styles pole sports which is influenced by her gymnastics background and involves a lot strength and power. She also enjoys exotic flow and lyrical pole because of her love of movement and feeling graceful and feminine. Creating beautiful shapes with her body makes her feel confident and empowered and she is excited to pass this on to others in class. Jess spends a lot of time on her hands and loves being upside down so she’s a bit of a handstand and body balance queen. Join Jess for her first classes at Pole Play in our Summer School!
