15.01.2022 After being postponed earlier in the year, the Remembrance Bicycle Ride is back and in a COVID safe way! For the first time in it's history, there won't be a ride from Sydney to Canberra, but instead riders will be setting up their own small-group rides, challenging each other to achieve something great all in the name of remembering our fallen and raising money for those left behind. Whether that's riding 150kms, a 1,000m climb, or riding 10kms with the whole family..., you can decide what you want to achieve! Raising funds for the incredible work of NSW Police Legacy Legacy, the 8th Annual Remembrance Bicycle Ride will be held on Sunday 15 November, and to find out more about how the ride will work or to register to ride and raise money, visit https://portal.policelegacynsw.org.au//2020-remembrance-bi. Police Bank are proud to again be a sponsor of the ride, and our Director and Deputy Chair Raff Del Vecchio will once again be leading one of the rides this year to help support our Police Family.

05.01.2022 This National NAIDOC Week we acknowledge that the very first footprints on this continent belonged to First Nations People, as we celebrate our First Nations' 65,000+ year history of Australia! #NAIDOC2020 is a chance for us all to see, hear and learn more about the hundreds of nations that covered Australia, who managed the land to sustainably provide for their futures for thousands of years. The winner of this year's NAIDOC Week poster (as seen below) is Tyrown Waigana, a ...23 year old Perth based artist and designer. Tyrown recently described the concept behind his artwork: The Rainbow Serpent is represented by the snake and it forms the shape of Australia, which symbolises how it created our lands. The colour from the Rainbow Serpent is reflected on to the figure to display our connection to the Rainbow Serpent, thus our connection to country. The overlapping colours on the outside is the Dreamtime. The figure inside the shape of Australia is a representation of Indigenous Australians showing that this country - since the dawn of time - always was, and always will be Aboriginal land. If you would like to take part in any of this week's NAIDOC events, head to https://www.naidoc.org.au/get-involved/naidoc-week-events #AlwaysWasAlwaysWillBe

To celebrate #WearItPurple, the NSW Police Force has launched a short film made in partnership with a small group of 78ers, the first Mardi Gras participants.
