24.01.2022 Two months exactly from the day I placed the order in Germany, the wiring harness for the 2006 BMW R1200RTP has finally arrived! Now all that remains is to fit this spaghetti on the bike!!

23.01.2022 In a category we'll call, "Too weird to be true", a recent benefactor donated some weird brackets, which turned out to be the missing antennae mount, with ProLaser II connector, and quick connect for the rear pole light, completing the re-fitting of the equipment for this New South Wales Police BMW K1200GT (VIP71) motorcycle. You honestly couldn't make this stuff up!!

22.01.2022 2000 Honda ST1100PY ex NSWPOL VIP has progressed a little further.

20.01.2022 One happy rider on his much lighter and leaner ex police Yamaha FJR1300. Cheers for entrusting your steed to us, and we wish you many happy and safe kilometres of riding!

19.01.2022 Look! New spaghetti for the New South Wales Police 2006 BMW R1200RTP!

19.01.2022 The restoration of our 1999 BMW K1100LT ex VIP NSWPOL motorcycle has begun, and to our surprise under years of dirt and grease we found these marks on the pannier hanger frames. When we aligned our original VIP chrome baton holder, the holes and rub marks align perfectly!

16.01.2022 Guess which bike these belong to?

15.01.2022 The 2006 BMW R1200RTP ex NSWPOL is alive again!

13.01.2022 Not quite finished, but undoubtedly one of the quickest restorations to come through the workshop. Delivered in terrible condition after the previous owner set fire to the wiring harness because he botched a pillion conversion, the bike was stripped back to the frame. Replacement wiring harness was sourced and installed, along with freshly painted Alpine Weiss body panels, and all the correct authorities equipment.... Unfortunately, BMW appears to have a perennial problem with the fuel strip/fuel pumps on these bikes, along with the infamous ABS failure, both of which this motorcycle appear to suffer from, so she's off to Procycles in St. Peter's for a full diagnosis, remediation of whatever is wrong, plus a 70,000KM service. Watch this space for more updates as she comes through the above process.

12.01.2022 That's how a two seat conversion is supposed to look!

12.01.2022 Look what finally came back from being repaired and re-chromed! The police only issued mudguards for the 1976 Kawasaki Z900 A4!

09.01.2022 A bit more progress made on the 2005 BMW K1200GT ex NSWPOL VIP. Reassembled with the correct lights and sirens now installed and working, plus also fitted with a period correct Ballinger SDS. Now she's off for a series of major mechanical overhauls at BMW main dealer.

08.01.2022 Believe it or not, this is the same petrol tank that spent the weeks underwater, and then say rusting away for the better part of a decade! It will soon be mated with the 1979 Kawasaki Z1000 MK2 A3A, so stay tuned for lots of updates which will be coming soon.

08.01.2022 Mocking up the panniers, lights and sirens on the 2006 BMW R1200RTP.

06.01.2022 That TA-DAH moment when you find a photo of your bike when it was in service with New South Wales Police.

05.01.2022 2006 BMW R1200RT restoration has progressed.

04.01.2022 Look what happened today! The bodywork for the 1976 Kawasaki Z900 A4 ex New South Wales Police motorcycle is finally out of paint, and nearly ready to go back on the bike!

04.01.2022 Back on the road to recovery! Tricycle adaptor removed, and the process begins to get her back to her happy place as a VIP NSWPOL 1999 BMW K1100LT.

02.01.2022 In what we'll refer to as, "You can't make this stuff up - Part 2", the missing front mudguard flash pole support bracket has just been located by our benefactor and will be making its way to the workshop shortly. What a week!! #lucky #vipmotorcycle
