21.01.2022 Dreaming of our next GETAWAY. Even though all our travelling plans got cancelled for this year and perhaps next. I am grateful to be "stuck" in Sydney. We got explore some amazing places and spaces. It gave me time to do stuff I "didn't have time for" ... I know this is not for ever and right now I am going to enjoy where we are while planning for future adventures. On that note - there is something exiting happening at POLISHED Atelier. Who can guess ? Stay tuned for updates

15.01.2022 I wasn't EXPECTING that Arriving in Australia I was taken aback by the standards of the Nail industry. My assumption was, perhaps because its a first world country they would be high. In South Africa there was also a lot more collaboration and community between beauty professionals as most work in salons together... At which point I was also told that Women in Australia won't have nails done the way I do them and most other beauty treatments. My question was Is it because they don't KNOW ? Or because they don't WANT to? After some time I realised it was the 1st. By the time I left Newcastle I was alredy fully booked and Women there loved having their nails done. And now I love looking after the Manicures of the POLISHED Women in Sydney This is why I am extremely exited to be moving to a space with multiple beauty professionals under 1 roof. This is a great benefit for Clients and Beauty Pros alike.

12.01.2022 Have you NOTICED how your nails grow faster in Summer? Curtacy of Sunlight. Vitamin D is one of the factors that promotes nail growth. Something to keep in mind ... Get your nails a bit shorter than in winter, that way they won't be TOO long before your next appointment which might prevent breaks . Another fun fact. Your toenails grow half the speed of your toenails.

08.01.2022 I TOOK 1 LOOK at the ugly dresses they offered me and REFUSED to wear any of them. It was my first time at a summer camp (in Russia they are called Sinatoriums) here I was would spend the next 6 weeks. My parents thought it would be a good idea not to pack any clothes for me (apart from socks and underwear) as there was an option to wear theirs. ... At age 7 I was having none of this. The dresses just didn't appeal to me in any way. Most importantly they weren't tailored and looked frumpy. For me wearing a dress I liked and made me feel good was more important than having several ugly ones. Not much has changed since then when it comes to quality and providing services for my clients. I wore the dress I arrived in for the duration of the camp...the staff had to wash it every day for me and make sure it was ready in the morning . The next time my parents packed my clothes for me. I strive to provide you the top of the current market. Constantly improving my techniques, bringing in premium products, improving the quality of service and of course improving my studio - For YOU. After seeing what was being offered to clients in the Nail industry in Australia I wanted to create much Better. Because you deserve - Better P. 06.01.2022 HOW? How to apply cuticle oil for its full benefit. Apply your cuticle oil to the area around the nail. ( you don't need a lot ) ...
