18.01.2022 This look is NOT for everyone and certainly not my most natural looking resin veneer work but I love how this case demonstrates what Ive learnt in 2 years after a few veneer courses and many cases to practice on. I took over treating this patient 2 years ago. He had multiple ongoing root canals so no other practitioner ever got around to improving the appearance of his front teeth. They were already mostly resins but of varying shades and shape. Check out the discrepancy b...etween his central incisors! I proposed to correct all 6 front teeth but at that time had minimal experience for this level of work and therefore did no pre-op planning. I was caught out at the end when I realised I still didnt have the centrals matching in width. Now, I always do an extra-oral wax mock-up, measure teeth with calipers and work with a putty key. This year, the patient returned with a chipped veneer and had it repaired by my colleague. A very opaque resin was used so the tooth looked very bright, which triggered the patient to request for all his other ones to be replaced so they looked "just as white". Normally I layer different opacities of resins to create a natural look so I warned this patient that his request would render his smile quite unnatural. He understood but remained sure he wanted the change. So, I was granted a second attempt at his resin veneers. With an improved understanding of dental aesthetics and tooth anatomy, this time Ive produced some veneers that are far better polished, with nicer line angles, emergence profile and symmetry. @ Polished Smiles by Dr Thuy Tran

13.01.2022 So proud of this patient! 12 months ago she was terrified of going to the dentist and hadn't been for almost a decade. Now she's so comfortable at the dentist that she was perfectly fine to have minor straightening treatment and resin veneers. My patient was self conscious about the position of her lateral incisors. She was given the option of full orthodontic treatment but declined and opted for minor adjustment of alignment with elastics & stents instead. The result is no where near as perfect as braces or Invisalign but it is more affordable and convenient. After straightening out her lateral incisors and teeth whitening treatment, I placed resin veneers on 5 of her front teeth (12-23). @ Polished Smiles by Dr Thuy Tran

01.01.2022 ICE IS NOT ENOUGH!! Patient comfort is my top priority, so when I do lip fillers, I always spend extra time and care to give my patients a dental anaesthetic block.
