25.01.2022 To our valued customers Been a while since our last post however just wanted to let all our loyal customers and followers know we are all safe and Covid free and continuing to trade. As the current crisis continues we will keep everyone posted on what we are going to do but untill then its nose to the grindstone. If you know of anyone either in the country areas that may need our expertise or even in the local area we do accept work posted to us and we are endeavouring to ...set up a bin/ tub style pick up service at designated spots around the Canberra area covering the whole ACT area. 24.01.2022 Recieved these via post from one of our interstate 3rd party clients. These were in a previous life, miners steel capped safety boots however had rips on the edge of the moulded sole so someone had glued or siliconed the edge right around both boots so water couldn't get in. Theyd been busted up pretty badly, in fact they had no footbed or insole at all but we were excited to work on them as the customer wanted to continue to use them as motorcycle boots. We were really happ...y with the finished boots and the customer will get plenty of great use out of them. So for those wondering what we did here it is, # remove old sole # patch uppers where needed # replace footbed with texon board # replace footbed liners and leather insoles # rewelt with stitched leather welt # full leather 3mm gauge midsole # full oil resistant goodyear detroit sole # blake stitch both soles # new stacked leather heel blocks # new heels # replace boot hooks to hold safety cover in place # nourishing creme plus 2 coats of saphir cordovan polish plus buff to shine. Really hope the customer is as happy with the final job as we were. ** Just a short edit to let customers know that the reason you cant see the sole stitching is we slightly insert out blake stitching into the sole so it doesnt wear out in particular pressure points of the foot. 23.01.2022 So we promised one of our newest customers who gave us a really challenging job that we would post some pics of her beautiful new boots which you'll see if you go to the last couple of pics. So we finished them and unfortunately she damaged her foot and has only just come out of a moon boot, and we forgot to post them on our page, oops, but we really hope she loves them Just for the people wondering what we did, we took the boots completely apart to remove and replace both zippers, replace both back heel counters plus the inner linings put it all back together with some new heels and then polish them up all nice and shiny new. 23.01.2022 Hi to all our valued patrons and friends. We hope everyone is safe and healthy and Covid free. As most would be aware we have remained open during a very tough Xmas and New Year period with the fires and then through a major hail storm and now the Covid virus pandemic. To say we are lucky to still be trading would be a understatement however we remain positive about the future. To try to get a short rest in before our busy Autumn/Winter period and to abide by the Govt restri...ctions to stay at home, we have decided to close over the easter period. We will be CLOSED from 3pm Thursday 9th April and reopen again on Tuesday 14th April at 830am. 19.01.2022 Get around our local businesses

19.01.2022 2 pair of RM Williams boots, 1 for complete rebuild on a 25 year old pair with cuban heel blocks, others not so old but needed new gussets and a tart up with some nourishing creme and polish. The other pair is at the end of the photos, but the black pair were a real challenge but enjoyable to see the customers reaction when they saw them finished. For those wondering we did complete heel linings, new gussets, fixed the original pull tags, new 3/4 leathers and hob nailed them ...on with solid brass tacks, new heel bed liners, new non slip soles and reset the last to right level so boots sat in their original last position before putting new heels on. Finally they were given 3 coats of nourishing creme and 2 coats of black saphir creme to buff to a beautiful shine. This job alone took 2 full days to do while we were doing other work however it was all worth it. We are still trading, albeit on reduced hours, so please spread the word about our service to all your friends, & if they cant get to the shop we also accept postal work too. 01.01.2022 So 2020 hasnt been a great year for many of us however we can still share as much joy as possible in the upcoming festive season.
