15.01.2022 We are ready for the cold weather. Baked daily .

15.01.2022 Christening The mist was almost tangible The trees and grass were glistening I was out on a special ride... It was my new bike’s christening. I rode out from Toogoolawah Marvelling at my new steed’s power I enjoyed riding in the dark And did so for an hour. Then I turned back north again This experience simply great But I had a pressing appointment I was meeting a special mate. Soon back in Toogoolawah I had time to adjust a few things Then my mate arrived right on cue Keen to see what the Trail brings. We rode and talked and rode some more We are fairly recent friends Our friendship born on the Trail Such stories never end. We stopped in Moore for a bite Pol’s at Moore is the go Home made fare and friendly smiles And great coffee, dontcha know? We decided to go to Linville Our legs ready for more So, we turned our steeds again Keen to see what was in store. The Trail delivered a perfect surface Or so it seemed to me We enjoyed each and every moment We even wandered the cemetery! In Linville we paused for a while The carriages caught our attention We are both railway buffs Such things garner our affection. We rode and laughed and rode some more The Trail serving up many thrills We even enjoyed the occasional challenge In the form of some tricky hills... All too soon we made it back Toogoolawah welcomed us We reflected on a job well done Of meeting goals and thus. We parted ways with typical warmth Our friendship ever strong We agreed that we’d catch up soon And not wait nearly so long. The Trail again delivered mightily It seems to fail never Delivering outstanding experiences And bringing folks together. Greg Noble The Pedalling Poet 20 June 2020

14.01.2022 We tested your magpie deterrent theories to see what works best! After riding the whole 161km length of the Brisbane Valley Rail Trail we only found 4 main magp...ie defence zonesand placed a handful of signs in those areas so you'll know exactly where to use your best magpie deterrent. Now go on and get busy preparing your #BVRT adventure right here https://fal.cn/3aBn8 ...without having to worry about our feathered friends.

14.01.2022 There and Back We had an evil kid of plan The BVRT to attack We would ride to Moore one day... Then the next we would ride back. My brother-in-law, a partner in crime We left soon after five Happy to ride before the sun Happy to be alive. Damian is a faster cyclist He was gentle in his approach Happy to ride at my pace His character above reproach. The day was cloudy and cool We stopped in Esk for a bite The Red Deer Cafe is a treat Morning, noon or night. I had myself a crab sandwich It was a joy to for me to savour Tasty beyond all belief - Do yourself a favour. The Trail was an absolute picture We paused in Toogoolawah To pick up one of our cousins Who had travelled far. We laughed and chatted and pedalled Like we’d seldom done before Enjoying the rolling hills and gravel As we rolled into Moore. A quick shower at the B&B We could not go faster Keen to get to the Linville Hotel For a Linville Lager. We had the BEST night with these folks The food, the best you’ll eat The atmosphere warm and welcoming The old pub’s come up a treat. I cannot praise the owners enough Their vision beyond compare I even hammered them out a verse On paper, while I was there. We had many frosty brews Tasty, I can attest Before making tracks for Moore So we could have a rest. Damian and I were up before 5 We had to travel far Back on our bikes once again Marvelling at the stars. My legs were going ok My eyes somewhat bleary We made good time as the sun rose I forgot that I was weary. Fascinated by the misty morn We got lost in every second We made good time on the Trail A bacon and egg burger beckoned. We stopped in Esk once again The Red Deer Cafe again excelled The burger was just amazing My admiration once again swelled. After Lowood my legs got heavy A grimace on my face We were happy to be cautious then And be mindful of our pace. We stopped in Fernvale for a doughnut At Old Fernvale Bakery The coffee was just superb The sweet treats the best you’ll see. The next section was a joy Fortified by a rest We pedalled with more surety The feeling was just the best. We arrived back in Ipswich soon These days were just perfection The ride was just amazing But what mattered was our connection. We spent time talking deeply Enjoying each others’ company Engaged in real conversations Around espieglerie. For, that’s the power of the Trail And it’s to be expected United in the joy of the moment People are reconnected. Greg Noble 09 August 2020

If you wish to place an order give us a call. We can also do home delivery for the elderly in town.... We have always had our good hygiene practice in place. Take care. See more
