03.01.2022 Lambing ready! Our stud ewes with their annual splash of colour. The colour relates to their joining sire. They are also numbered so we can easily identify them at lambing. Each new born lamb is given a numbered visual tag of the same colour, allowing us to collect pedigree information. Sometimes though, the ewes have other ideas.....#polwarthsheep #polwarthwool #lambing2020

01.01.2022 Shearing - in the last few days we have sorted the wool into 7 different fleece lines, pieces, bellies, stain, locks, bloodied wool and skin pieces. The main fleece lines are pressed and now its time to bale up the bits and pieces.
