11.01.2022 Today, 105 years ago, on the 25th of April 1915, Australian & New Zealand soldiers joined by our Polynesian ancestors formed part of the allied expedition that set out to capture the Gallipoli peninsula. These became known as Anzacs & the pride they took in that name, defending our freedom continues to this day. Pictured below is Maori Battalion North Africa 1941. Not a force to be reckoned with, the Maori battalion (consisting of indigenous Polynesians residing within New Ze...aland) proved the most decorated New Zealand battalion during World War 2. We salute you #LestWeForget
