13.01.2022 When 3 close friends first started on this journey in 2017 of launching the official Polyfest in Australia that would culminate into a World event, some people in their own communities thought they were dreaming and laughed at them for an unrealistic and silly plan that would never happen. The masterplan was to launch a biennial event to include a regional competition which happened in 2018 with the help of event organisers, a national comp in 2019 which is already confirmed ...for October in NSW and then a World event in 2020 hosted by the Polynesian Cultural Center in Hawaii. Despite some setbacks they remained focused on this dream and today, we are so proud to say, the World stage is set and we will announce the date for the 2020 Fomuda World Cultural Championship on the 29th of May 2019!!
