18.01.2022 Parting shots before lockdown no 4!!!Transitioning from foils to Balayage. This was a fairly gutsy paint for me.. You have to tone after as this technique throws off a lot of warmth on certain hair types... Beauty of having a regular relationship with my clients. I know your hair

17.01.2022 Here we go again... Lots of lessons learnt from the last time.. I think we have all learnt to live with the fact that we can wait for things. I appreciate your understanding on this when I’m trying to rebook my clients that are affected with their appointments being cancelled. I am very lucky that you all are understanding of my business. Please feel free to message me to reschedule. Jenna

09.01.2022 ONCE A WEEK TAKE A PEEK This is a website for information on headlice. Every few days I am getting into conversations with my clients and the dreaded creepy crawlies in the children’s hair I’ve been meaning to do this post for a while now - it seems to be rife at the moment. A few pointers to do even if you haven’t currently got unwanted guests.... *You need to be checking the children weekly. Checking behind the ears, nape of the neck and under the fringe.. All the lovely warm area that they like to nest in *They can be hard to spot, they are a similar colour to brown hair. Think flax seed that moves ! If you see eggs 1 inch from the scalp - then you have a situation! There is a sure fire chance there are live lice in the hair. They live off the blood from the scalp and survive on the hair shaft. If the eggs are further down the hair shaft, they are dead egg shells called nits. These can be pulled off the hair with a nit comb and lots of conditioner. I find finger nails work well too! *Treatments are generally only advised when lice are visible. I understand you want to douse the whole family just incase - but the treatments can make the scalp just as itchy as the real things! * The can not live on pillows and bedding. You do not need to boil the heck out of everything at home! They can only survive on the scalp - they can jump from head to head contact. This is the main way your children catch them.. Play dates and sleep overs, classrooms etc.. *Girls are more prone to getting them as they have longer hair. Tie their hair up every day for school. *Tea Tree is a great repellent- but if there is a repeat offender at school that isn’t getting treated, then you will be fighting a losing battle until they are rid of them. *I am unsure of the best products available in Australia. I would love you to comment and tag anyone who would find this useful. WHAT ARE THE MOST SUCCESSFUL TREATMENTS OUT THERE??? Any more info that you need just reach out to me.. Jenna
