24.01.2022 WOW (Working on Within) Wow what a wrap up to our third session with this wonderful program and inspirational lads The WOW program !! ... Is a program that believes that every student irrespective of age or background, benefits from participating in its engaging and holistic program. The Program focus is ‘Working on Within’ Sensei Don and Jimmy do this by integrating fundamental personal skills and capabilities into their fun and physically active Self Defence Program. They teach specific life skills and knowledge over several sessions that suit your schools needs. All lessons have a learning intention and assessment outcomes.

24.01.2022 Welcome back to Term 4 Each class has started new and exciting topics and investigations. In science the Junior Class are looking at ‘Growth and Change’ so they have planted some seeds and will observe their development over time. The Senior Class are looking at ‘Volume and Capacity’ in maths and they spent some time this week comparing different size containers with the same capacity, as well as choosing a small container, for example 250 mls and estimating how many of them it will take to fill a 1 litre container.

20.01.2022 Athletics Carnival Well, we managed to complete our day ..... even though we had to dodge a few misty showers. All students competed well, tried their best and were good sports by cheering on other students.

20.01.2022 Today the Junior Class spent the day exploring Wentworth, learning about the people and places of historical significance to the area. They had a great time completing the scavenger hunt in the ‘Pioneer Museum’ and enjoyed lunch by the river in the sunshine. 17.01.2022 Father’s Day Dress up !! What a fun day we had today dressing up as our fathers, grandfathers or significant male role models we have in our lives. We had ..... policemen, firemen, army cadets, irrigation specialists, managers of businesses, back yard gardeners, excavator drivers, truck drivers and farmers just to name a few .... Some of the students chose to just dress like their dad at home and seriously they were just little mini me of their dad it was quit uncanny. To all the dads, grandfathers and significant positive male role models in our students lives we wish you a fantastic day on Sunday..... thank you for being there and creating wonderful memories with these young children! 14.01.2022 STEM coding and dash bots .... our senior class have been working hard at following codes

11.01.2022 Education Week - Learning Together Our K-2 students have been learning about combining materials in Science, and last week they made glue by mixing water and flour to a smooth paste. They then tested it by making a picture with pieces of coloured paper to find out if the glue would hold everything together. It did! Our 3-6 students have been presenting their natural disaster project, and some of them made boardgames to present their information. We thoroughly enjoyed playing them!

06.01.2022 Perry Sandhills - PBL Celebration Wow, what a fantastic day we have had at the Sandhills to celebrate our target of 1000 dojo’s. As a school we accumulate dojo’s for following our three school values ‘Respect’, ‘Safety’ and ‘Learning’ and when we reach 1000 we have a celebration. The Perry Sandhills were a perfect choice for today. Congratulations to all students for contributing to us having this fun day out. ... I hope the students didn’t bring home tooo much of the sand in their clothes and hair . We are fairly certain they will sleep well tonight.
