24.01.2022 Active Termites can be located in unusual places. Today client didnt know they had termites till they needed toilet paper.

24.01.2022 A big congratulations to Nathan Blain from Ponderosa Pest Control who took out the annual Pink-Ponderosa cup at Ultimate Karting Smeaton Grange. Tindara Farlow ...took out the fastest Administration team member with an angry blistering time. Nathan Blain also fastest technician, we did notice his son Aiden was very quick, the stewards are examining if family team orders were invoked. A huge thanks to Sweeney Marketing and Ultimate Karting Sydney for an awesome event. Mick Ellenor from Sweeney Advertising deserves a special mention, you do a great job and you are a valued member of our team, thanks again. 23.01.2022 A few ants scouting around in a shower recess , Advion Ant Gel applied then suddenly the message is sent to the rest that dinner is being served, you can see how many gather and race back the their nest with their precious gatherings - little do they know that are doing. It took about 10 mins for what you can see - and how the uninvited guests getting in a Tibouchina Tree overhanging the roof.

22.01.2022 I would like to take this opportunity to say a BIG THANK YOU to our wonderful clientele firstly with out you Ponderosa Pest Control would not still be protecting homes for the past 40 plus years, but for the compassion and care our clients showed today when I had to contact those with bookings for our inspector Phil to reschedule their appointments due to a break in at his property was amazing. For those that know Phil and have had him looking after their property, some for over 15 years, not only know what an amazing asset he is to our company but a person with a big heart. 19.01.2022 Have never seen this much damage from Borers in 45 years of being involved in the pest control industry, client thought they had a Termite problem. This turn of century house was free of termites but extensive evidence of borers. Flooring in 2 bedrooms, hallway, lounge affected. The last 2 photos are a piece of flooring brought back to our office, unfortunately the occupier went through the floor.

19.01.2022 This is what a new client came home to after 10days of being away - an unwanted surprise waiting for them on their toilet wall. Of course have not had an inspection by a qualified termite inspector, client said husband goes around and checks all the time. The weather we have had of late is perfect for termites. 18.01.2022 Not a bad termite lead located during inspection of sublfoor to a house in North Richmond, clients had no idea they had a termite problem until they were having airconditioning installed and the airconditioning trades people located active termites in the roof.

17.01.2022 Active Coptotermes (Termites) located during a Thermal Inspection to a property today in North Richmond. These Termites are highly destructive and have been found in Winmalee, Bowen Mountain, Upper Mcdonald, Bilpin and Grose Vale in the last week to multiple properties. These Termites were noted coming out of a sealed patio and building a lead up the wall to gain access to the wall cavity. Activity was located in the roof to timbers and damage was noted. The Thermal camera pi...cked up a large Thermal mass inside one of the walls that had no visible evidence present. This demonstrates the importance of utilising the latest in technology combined with years of experience. 16.01.2022 The species of Termites, Nasutitermes walkers build distinct round nest in trees, the leads are visible on the trunk, this species of termites attack timber some distance from the nest, normally attack fences, landscaping timber but can be found attacking homes particularly if there is decaying timber present. Nasutitermes walkeri are identified by their pointed heads.

13.01.2022 This image demonstrates the importance of utilising the best technology accompanied by highly trained Termite Technicians. Thermal Imaging is available at Ponderosa, this image shows an active colony of Coptotermes (Termites) located in the base of a tree not visible with a visual inspection. This tree as you can see has no visible of signs of Termite attack within it, our Thermal Imaging camera detected a large heat mass in the base. Once the tree was drilled by Nathan one of senior Termite Specialists with over 20 years experience, he located active Termites in the base. The tree is located approximately 3 metres from the main house.

11.01.2022 The following pictures of a termite infestation was located only when an item of furniture was moved, the mudding under window frame was noticed Monday and this is the amount of visible mudding by Thursday when Phil attended the site. It is so important if you find anything the you feel may be Termites book a Termite inspection as soon as possible and cannot stress enough DO NOT spray or disturb in any way, luckily this client was aware not the disturb, they however did not have and Termite inspections as they only carried out renovations around 18months ago and saw no evidence and thought they were OK.

05.01.2022 This client thought their house was safe from termites - it is double brick with concrete slab flooring. These pictures were taken during our inspection, the clients first indication something was not right was a swollen door. Termites had gained entry through the substructure wall behind a timber planter box against the house.

04.01.2022 This video was taken on Saturday in Avoca on the Central Coast, thanks to the video person who captured Alates (reproductive winged termites) take flight leaving their nests as temperatures and humidity conditions are just right. You normally have Alates accumulating under porch lights, crawling under doors. When they land wings are dropped, disperse and mate. Should you come across Alates this is an indication there may be a termite nest close by.
