25.01.2022 Training tip of the Week: Make sure to train in a variety of places, mix it up, because that reflects life, and the more spontaneous situations that occur, where you remain consistent with cues, the better the effects and depth of understanding, however, if in a new place, or with lots of distractions, adjust your expectations, always finish on a win!
24.01.2022 Baloo the cat has a very special security blanket his dog brother, Henry. Today on Odd Couples, watch how Baloo immediately calmed down when his mom placed him on Henrys head for the first time. Hes been following Henry on big adventures in the wilderness ever since!
24.01.2022 This is brilliant! #poochpalsaustralia #animalfun #goatsareawesome
23.01.2022 For all our Sydney Pooch lovers.
23.01.2022 Training tip #1: Ignore the bad, reward the good. Your dog will love you for it and training will be a fun and positive experience, resulting in a closer bond and more loving relationship. This is called positive reinforcement and has been proven extensively to be the most effective method of training, with the greatest results and least amount of unwanted behaviours resulting. (Unlike punishment/corporal style approaches which often result in negative behaviours and boundary testing).
23.01.2022 Onions are another, but a small amount of garlic is actually beneficial in staving off fleas and parasites! Ask us today how you can feed your dog a fresh, wholistic and canine stomach aligned diet, cheaply and easily at home! #poochpals #davidwolfe #dogdiet #caninehealth

22.01.2022 We officially have our books full from now until February 2016, but would absolutely love to connect any people still wishing to have their loved one looked after with staff in other cities, or refer other wonderful carers who may be able to offer some assistance with caring for your furry family member this holiday season. Have a very Merry Xmas and a Happy New Year! xx
21.01.2022 So tragic, but good to know about this condition!
21.01.2022 Amazing focus and connection!
20.01.2022 Yeeeegh.. Definitely NOT worth it!
17.01.2022 What a beautiful way to support such an important program! I have volunteered for WBR and have seen the countless dogs rescued, rehabilitated, trained and regimes that would otherwise be euthanised or worse.
16.01.2022 Training Tip of the Week: Limit talking. Your dog, cat and horse.. And virtually any pet, will notice your BODY cues first, then the verbal cues attached. Try to experiment with training silently, it may well surprise you how much faster it works! Heres to turning down the volume! *Thanks to Dad Jokes Australia for the Meme Below:
16.01.2022 Training Tip #2: Dont let your dog always take the wheel. Quite literally for the man below.. However, you should be the one giving the directions, and setting the scene, otherwise your dog may develop anxiety or behavioural problems due to incoherence in communication, inconsistency or role confusion. (Or a mix of all 3!)
15.01.2022 Ha! This is hilarious, and more often the case with larger breeds, than you would imagine!
15.01.2022 Hot tip for cooling down your Pooch: Easy to make Doggy Ice Blocks, just use some chicken/beef broth (no salt added), freeze in a Tupperware container or ice cube trays for smaller dogs, and your best friend will love you even more! You can even add a few kibble or liver treats, if you so choose, to make them extra fancy! If you make/pop the ice block into a Kong toy, it can double as extra sensory and mental stimulation and provide some well earned rewards for the concentration!
15.01.2022 Go to http://wbrfundraisingfund.org.au/ to support Working Breed Rehab (WBR) an incredible rescue agency, and make sure people know what your Pooch Pal is all about! :-)

08.01.2022 This just made our day!
08.01.2022 This is a great video to explain to people why for over a decade I have educated clients and anyone who will listen who has a dog, about dog food being like McDonalds and how shifting to a more natural diet of raw mince, brown or white rice and minced veggies with an egg and some tinned fish alternately will create a much healthier dog and also, longer relationship with their dog! #PoochPals
07.01.2022 Cannot get enough of this wonderful nutritionist!

07.01.2022 Dog and Cat Training Tip #4: FANTASTIC Anxiety relieving tools for Thunder Storm handling, along with not fussing, and keeping your pet indoors, are all great ways to begin relieving the stress that is caused.
06.01.2022 Training Tip Of the Week: Have fun with it! Your dogs, cats, horses, monkeys.. All can sense what is going on, well before you say any words. Remember to always put the relationship first, and if you are getting frustrated, take a break, play a game or reconnect.
03.01.2022 This is a great one..!

02.01.2022 Dog Training Tip #3: Dont just use one reward, mix it up! Your dog may be more food driven or play driven, or thrive on affection, but guarantee if you mix it up, you will get great results by enticing all his/her senses! What drives your Pooch?
02.01.2022 Oh this melted me! Also.. kinda want to be that kid!!!
01.01.2022 This video gets me every time!! Nothing more incredible than the first time you do this!! Try it at home: 1. Picture an animal, sometimes one that you dont know so well, works best. 2. In your imagination ask the animal if you have permission to tune in, and speak with it. You may feel a yes, or a no. 3. see what images come to your mind, and ask questions, and see what images come. When you ask, its important to remember that animals speak in images, so picture it first. <3 #poochpalsaustralia #animalcommunication #animalcare #dogtraining
