24.01.2022 Did you know our Cellar Door welcomes dogs? That we would mean we are doggo friendly at Pooley! Water is always out and all we ask is you keep your pup on its lead and with you while you sup!

22.01.2022 We are so pleased to announce that our sister property Prospect House Private Hotel is donning a SILVER medal after being voted one of the top tourism operators in the Southern Region! A huge, heartfelt thank you to all who voted, and to @tictasmania for awarding us. 21.01.2022 Join us for another tasting at 9/11 Bottleshop Gasworks from 3pm this afternoon! A great opportunity to learn something, and to tick off a few Christmas gifts while you're there.

21.01.2022 Halliday Wine Companion 2021 has recently awarded our 2019 Margaret Pooley Tribute Riesling 96 points. This Single Vineyard Riesling is from our Cooinda Vale Vineyard, hand-picked with some deliberate skin contact in the context of a cool ferment. Named after our co-founder Margaret Pooley, this elegant Riesling is a great testament to the wine variety Margaret loved most. Experience aromas of apple blossom, jasmine and delicate citrus, with a richer mouth texture, green apple acidity and a saline finish. With great balance and length of flavour this will cellar for 15 years plus or just enjoy its freshness now. https://www.pooleywines.com.au//2019-margaret-pooley-trib/

20.01.2022 What a week! We've been busy preparing and planting a new 0.4 hectare block of shiraz at our Cooinda Vale Estate, in line with the biodynamic calendar... here's Hannah and Ravi hard at work. In addition to this we had our first wire lift of the season, meaning things are heating up and growth is in full swing right now!

20.01.2022 How good is this green? Our luscious vines from our organic block had Ravi, our Cellar Door Manager giddy with anticipation for the season ahead.

19.01.2022 Some familiar faces at the recent 2020 Tasmanian Tourism Conference in Launceston! Ravi impressed guests with a selection of our Pooley wines at the @winetasmania luncheon, and our General Manager Angela Gosden took to the stage for an insightful Q&A. Overall a promising night highlighting Tassie’s amazing wine and tourism industry.... Photos thanks to @melaniekatephotography and @tictasmania

18.01.2022 Our winemaker Anna Pooley took time out to share her reflections on the 2019 Jack Denis Pooley vintage and our latest pinot noir release. Celebrating the history of our family and founders, this wine truly reflects the legacy of its namesake. https://www.pooleywines.com.au//17-2019-jack-denis-pooley/

If you're organising your next event at Pooley be sure to plan and phone ahead. Spots between now and Christmas are filling up fast.

17.01.2022 It’s a beautiful morning in Richmond and as we start the day we’d like to take the opportunity to share our thanks with you. Thank you for the support you have provided, online, around the country, at Cellar Door and on the lawns every weekend. We hope to continue sharing our passion for many years to come. Our Pooley family raises a collective glass to you all this weekend.

17.01.2022 We're thrilled to share that we've been announced as the 2020 VinØ Champions at @winetasmania's 'Tassie Wine Stars' event! The VinØ (Vin Zero) program is in charge of measuring, improving and reporting on the management and sustainability practices of Tasmanian wine producers. The VinØ Champion award is for the wine business that's achieved the highest score of all program members across the 2019/20 season (a total of 22 vineyards). At Pooley we're committed to integrating sustainability through every facet of our operations, from vine to wine to market. We're so proud of the work undertaken by our Vineyard Manager, Hannah McKay, and by all vineyard staff, both past and present. Cheers!

14.01.2022 Delighted to begin the The Real Review's Live Chardonnay Tasting with our 2019 Cooinda Vale Chardonnay. We're so glad it woke up your taste buds Bob! Our winemaker Anna Pooley recommends matching this chardonnay with pan seared ocean trout, beurre blanc sauce and potato dauphinoise. Delicious... https://youtu.be/-8gv7mHjpSo

09.01.2022 With spring well and truly underway, the news from the vineyard is that it’s all systems go. It has been a very distinct start to spring and the vines are showing a nice even bursting from the consistent rainfall we have been receiving. At Cooinda Vale the clover in the mid-rows and organic blocks are charging. This is great to see as it is a low laying, ground covering, nitrogen fixing species that attracts loads of bees when it flowers. This is all natural and shows just what our amazing souls are capable of when we removed harsh chemicals from the system. Vintage 2021 is looking good so far!

08.01.2022 Tassie’s been giving us a sneak-peek of Summer this weekend, so let us give you a sneak-peek into where our wines are made! Behind the Cellar Door is where you’ll find wines for tasting, cheese and charcuterie boards for eating, and our lovely staff for meeting. Open every day from 10am-5pm.
