21.01.2022 Last week we had a taste of the balmy summer weather and with it came an overwhelming demand on our stores for Click & Collect services. For this reason, we have reviewed our current contact-free services and are pleased to announce the following changes: As of Tuesday, 6th October Click & Collect will be available from: Friday, 9th October from 1pm to 4pm Saturday, 10th October from 9am to 4pm ... As of Monday, 12th October we will offer Click & Collect: Monday - Saturday 9am to 5pm Sunday 10am to 4pm We have listened to your feedback and have changed how we will provide this service to you. To ensure a smooth and organised Click & Collect process (whilst still following our COVID Safe Plan), please visit https://www.albatrosspools.com.au/shop/pool-store-services/ to understand what to expect when visiting our stores during the current restrictions. Thank you to all of our customers who made the most of our Home Delivery services offered since Stage 4 Restrictions began. We were providing this service utilising our team. 20.01.2022 Do you have green dust in your pool? We do and here’s why. If you live in an area prone to dust, this dust is finding its way into your pool and if it isn't removed, the dust will then take on algae and form algae dust (especially in this weather). How to treat it? The best way to treat it is to broom it (if you can) to an area and then once it has settled, vacuum it to waste, top up with fresh tap water, maintain a good level of sanitiser and add a clarifier. Our go to in ...the display centre is a satchel of BioGuard Lite (or Oxysheen) and a BioGuard Super Clear Tab - Lite (or Oxysheen) will oxidise the water (remove organic matter), boost the sanitiser level (not the case with Oxysheen) and the Super Clear Tab will bind the remaining dust in the filter which you can then backwash and rinse in 3-4 days. A preventative algaecide (BioGuard AlgiGuard) is also recommended (even with Fresh Water Ionic Pools) just as a backup. How to prevent it? If you have a pool cover, it will help reduce the amount of dust forming in the pool. If you have a robotic pool cleaner, run it more frequently and clean it out after each cycle. If you have a suction cleaner, try using a clarifier to help catch the dust in your filter (be sure to clean your filter regularly). If you don’t have a cleaner, periodic clarifier treatments might be the best way to go.
