25.01.2022 Hi All, the Australian Nationals are upon us. The annual event started a short time ago. PoolStat is proudly providing the scorng and results system this year! All matches will be live-scored capable which helps bring all of us watching from home that little bit closer to the action. Please note that no AEBF Nationals matches will be visible on the poolstat website due to contractual arrangements. You will find all the match information and results at http://aebf.com.au/stats/

21.01.2022 Some of you will have noticed a change to the public pages for your Associations. The "tabbed" view has been replaced by a Menu across the top. This change provides much more scope for extension and customising with new features in the works. One of the issues I run into alot with the poolstat community is terminology or labels we give certain things. The classic example here is the term "round", depending on the context of the conversation this term can have 5 or more diff...erent meanings. As PoolStat spreads its wings into most Australian states, and eventually overseas, the need for consistent terminology in the public space is imperative. The new menu has received some great feedback already and we have been reacting to that to ensure the viewing public can find their way around much more intuitively and easly. The new menu will become a centrepiece of the poolstat system as it will become the standard across all associations so it will be important that the terminology used, the menu structure and the standard menu items available, compliment each and every competition they support. Different types of competitions will have different needs, variations of the norm, but mostly we will try to stick to a standard set of names and items. For example, an Elimination competition will display the Flow Diagram of matches by default whereas a Teams competition would probably show the Team Ladder/Points Table by default. As always I love to get constructive feedback so if you have any thoughts or ideas on the new menu please get in touch. See more

21.01.2022 A busy day for live scoring...

17.01.2022 PoolStat will be unavailable between midnight tonight and 5am. We have a major version update to install and test. This update includes a new version of the livescoring app. If you are a Livescore Administrator and you have not had a chance to test it yet in the test site it will be worthwhile to run through it before your next comp night.

16.01.2022 POOLSTAT IS BACK ONLINE The PoolStat site is down for the moment. There is a major network issue affecting the availability of the site (the site is fine, the problem is getting to the site). I will keep you posted...

13.01.2022 Qld Country Cup was run on the weekend with PoolStat Livescoring in use once again. Considering every team involved for this comp, and the Qld Cup Mens and Womens comps from the previous weekend, were totally new to the Livescoring app it was well received and used over both weekends. With exceptional coordination and support from Mark McAleer the livescoring system was used effectively for the duration of both comps. Here at home it was easy to keep up to date with scores ...of all matches as well as score updates via the livestreams. A HUGE thanks to Mark for the very long hours he worked ensuring every team was supported in the use of the app and that all results were processed as soon as possible to give all players the latest information as early as possible. Many of you would not be aware but this was the FIRST TIME the PoolStat Teams Livescoring App was used in a tournament where each team was required to play multiple times in one day. With matches starting one after the other, every hour, from 9am to 10pm it seemed to go along quite smoothly (watching as a home spectator that is). Another plus for the weekend was sending score updates automatically from poolstat directly into the livestream software. I would love to hear your feedback, both good and bad, on your experiences with the livescoring app. If you would prefer to keep you feedback private please send me an email through the contact us page on the website or via messenger.

13.01.2022 Just a quick note to all PoolStat Administrators. The Testing Site is about to be refreshed with a new set of data (current copy of the live site). As its a full refresh you will find that your current login for the live site will also work in the test site. You will also find that all the test comps you have created over the last year or so will disappear.

12.01.2022 The new mobile view. Use it to check out Big Guns latest results.

10.01.2022 The Australian Nationals Teams events are in full swing! Its great to see all teams using the PoolStat livescoring app to keep all of us at home with "up to the minute" progress scores. Being able to see our teams and players, see who they are matched up against and how the results fall as frames are played is almost like being there. The livestreamers are doing a fantastic job with covering many of the matches; so with the live scoring and livestreams we have a pretty dec...ent coverage delivered to our lounge chairs (or office chairs as the case may be)/ If youve havent checked in with how things are going, head on over to the AEBF website and look for the links to livestreams, live scoring and results. http://aebf.com.au

09.01.2022 The PoolStat Project turns 4yo today. Happy Birthday!

09.01.2022 A new version of PoolStat will be released in the next couple of weeks. Along with this will be a new version of the Livescoring app. There have been some significant improvements to the livescoring app, the main one being, there will no longer be a separate app to view results. The TEST website will be updated later today with the new version for testing by any current PoolStat Admins. If your association does livescoring I strongly recommend that you take some time to te...st out the new livescoring app and the corresponding changes to the livescore settings in the site. For the moment all users do not have access to the test site. If you wish to get onto test then send me a text or a message via messenger so I can activate your login. Your login details will be the same as they are for the live site. Also later today in the live site you will notice new Admin News on your Admin Dashboards. I will be posting some links to videos that go though some of the bigger changes in the new version. Again, if you are a livescoring association, please make sure you watch these videos so you know whats coming.

04.01.2022 Welcome the following associations who have joined recently... - Central Districts 8 Ball Association (SA) - The Suburban 8 Ball Assoc Inc (SA) - Kilcoy Eight Ball Association (QLD)... - Port Lincoln 8 Ball Association Inc (SA) - Capricorn Cue Sports (QLD) - Narrogin and District 8 Ball Association (WA) - Hedland 8 Ball Association (WA) - Karratha Districts Eightball Association (WA) - Australian Blackball Federation (AUS) Some of these assocations are currently on the "No Obligation Plan" and are yet to commit to subscribing to PoolStat. So what is the "No Obligation Plan"? Its quite simple. The No Obligation Plan gives you the opportunity to fully test PoolStat for suitability to your Organisation and provide your committee and members with a real life experience with the software at no initial cost. From there you will be able to make a much more informed decision on whether to adopt PoolStat or not. The Plan provides you with the same access and privileges as what a normal subscriber has. You will be treated exactly the same as all our subscribers. The Plan requires you to nominate a "season" of competitions to have full access to the PoolStat site and Support. By the end of this season you must decide whether to continue using PoolStat or decline. If you decline your access to PoolStat will be revoked and you will not be required to make any subscription payments. If you decide to continue you will be required to pay the appropriate subscription fee. If you are interested in setting up a "No Obligation Plan" for your association please use the contact page on the PoolStat website to initiate your request. https://www.poolstat.net.au/site/contact I also encourage you to contact other assocations using poolstat for their opinion on how they are benefitting from using PoolStat. A full list of associations using PoolStat can be found on the PoolStat home page

03.01.2022 Well the Big Guns tournament is underway for another year. PoolStat is proud to be part of this major event for a 3rd consecutive year. This year accessing the results of the Open and Ladies tournaments should be much easier with a couple of new PoolStat pages specifically designed for mobile phones. If you are on your phone right now, check out the links below. ... If you find them much easier to use please share them with your fellow players and supporters. hopefully these pages will provide a much easier way for you to keep track of the latest results. We hope that all the players get on board with livescoring their matches to keep you all informed with all the latest progress scores and results. Wishing all the players the very best, I hope you all have your A game on for the next few days and if you happen to lose I really hope you make your opponent earn the win. 02.01.2022 The PoolStat site will be offline for upgrade/maintenance from 2am AEDT tonight (16th Oct 2018). We dont expect the site to be down for more than 1 hour.

01.01.2022 Huge day for PoolStat today. Queenslands statewide teams comp, "The Queensland Cup" are taking full advantage of PoolStats Teams livescoring app. There are 30 teams competing across 2 divisions (men's and women's) over this long weekend. Being a spectator at home for this is great to be able to see how teams are progressing Check out completed match results and other live score links at http://qldcup.com.au

01.01.2022 its hard to believe its "that" time again. Its been a really busy year again this year. Lots of new associations joined the PoolStat family in 2018. We have made significant inroads into SA, particularly the bigger leagues in Adelaide. I also met some more amazing and passionate people during the year. Im convinced there is not more than 5-10% of any association that is prepared to put in their time to make sure everything runs smoothly week after week, year after year.... To those people we all owe a special thanks for their dedication and selflessness in running their respective assocations. One of the most enjoyable tasks with PoolStat is talking with the key people in the new associations, answering their questions and getting them onboard. And happy to say we have many more happy customers and players across the country. To all our subscribers both new and old, thank you for your support again in 2018. There are plans for some significant developments in 2019 that will hopefully add a new dimension to what is currently available so keep watching this page for the news. Wishing all the PoolStat supporters the very best for Christmas and the new year. I hope you had a great year, I certainly did. And remember this this is a time for families and sharing. There seems to be way too much agro on the road and in the shopping centres. Take your time, take care and be patient (particularly on the roads) and you will all get to where you need to be.
