24.01.2022 Hi Guys, On behalf of the Pockets Family. We would like to introduce you all to Pockets (Rebranded) The venue has been around for a very long time so most of yo...u may know of it. It was long overdue for a facelift. So we put in a lot of work into it and renovated it, so its looking a lot different to what it did before! Pockets are made up of a team of 3 young people all in our mid 20s (Titus, Mitch & Felicia) just wanting to create a place for people to hang out and have fun! We have 15 Pool Tables (6 of which are 9fters, 5 Brand New All Star 7ft Comp Tables & 4 BNB 7ft Comp Tables). We are looking within this year to turn into an All 7ft Pool Table Venue We have a full stocked Bar which our license allows us to have up to 500 people as well as trade until 3am. We have decked out the nightclub section to the venue with a stage/Dj Booth, so Live Entertainment on the regular ! We also have a Beer Garden/Smoking Area and a VIP Area Please see Flyer attached for Our First of many Pool Tournaments. Hope to see you here soon. Peace

03.01.2022 "FAST EDDIES GOOD FRIDAY" 8 ball pool competition on 10th April 2020 is "CANCELLED". The Fast Eddies Pool Committee along with the venue at Eddies Pool Room ...+ Bar have decided that due to the current situation of COVID-19 this event needs to be cancelled. As of this morning "The government has banned all non-essential indoor gatherings of more than 100 people." So can all those who have paid their entry fee into the bank account listed on the flyer please message me with your name and bank details (and screenshot of your payment if possible so that your payment can quickly be found) and then the venue will refund your entry fee back into your bank account. Sorry for the inconvenience this has caused but Im sure you will all agree that the health and well being of the pool community along with their friends and families is much more important than this one event. All the best to everyone and stay safe. Kind Regards, Tony Kwan. - 0412 201 645 Fast Eddies Pool Club Treasurer PS : When things improve and life becomes normal again for everyone where the toilet paper, meat, potatoes, pasta and other items are back on the shelves on the supermarket for all and the COVID-19 is a memory then we will try to re-organise a similar event and will let you know once a new flyer has been created.

02.01.2022 Pool Victoria is sad to say Goodbye to Lance Sheen, after an extremely tough battle with his health. Lance was the founding member of the EDPL, V.E.B.A. A.E.B.F, and Pool Victoria, In 1991 Lance worked on forming this WEPF with the United Kingdom and New Zealand. He saw the formation of this body, between New Zealand, England and Australia and was el...ected as Chairman of the Steering Committee, and World Rules Committee. At completion on the inaugural World Championships held in Manchester, England in 1993 Lance was elected President of the WEPF. Lance Sheen was Eight Ball. We send our deepest condolences to Lauri and family he will be sadly missed. R.I.P. LANCE See more
01.01.2022 So after a lot of thought and discussions with various people and the latest updates on the Covid rules in Victoria it looks like we've been given the green lig...ht to go ahead with the comp. For players that are travelling from interstate and want to book flights i'll leave it to your own discretion whether you decide to take the chance or not. If you book a flight and for some reason we're forced to postpone or cancel the event we won't be held accountable. I highly doubt the event will be cancelled as we'll still be in the last month of summer, but still it'll be your call on what you decide to do. Most accommodation sites offer free cancellation up to a few days before your arrival so that shouldn't be an issue either. There will be absolutely no verbal entries taken, all entries must be paid into our account prior to being entered in the comp. If we, for some reason have to cap the event at a certain number, preference will be given to the the players that have entered and paid first. You have to remember this is all new territory for all of us, including Johl Younger and his team at Slate so the minimum of hassles we have to put up with the better. That's about all i have for you at this time, banking details are on the back of the 2nd form. No need to send an entry form in just receipt of payment and players names you are entering can be sent to me via Messenger, mobile or email. I hope you all have a lovely Christmas with your loved ones and hope to see you all at Slate in Feb.
