19.01.2022 Hello staff, parents and caregivers. As you probably have all caught up with today’s media release, there has been a hotspot of confirmed COVID-19 Cases in metro Adelaide today Parafield. Mawson Lakes School has been closed and non-government schools in the vicinity ie Thomas Moore College. I have been involved in a link in today with our Chief Executive Rick Persse who has indicated at this point in time, SA schools and preschools will remain open. If the advice or dir...ection from SA Health changes, we will be informed and will need to act promptly in line with such advice. In the meantime, we must follow these protocols: Keep 1.5m social distancing as required between adults Hand sanitiser is to be used in classrooms, after toileting and following eating routines Drink fountains are not to be used. They can be used for re-fills of students waterbottles If students or staff present as unwell they are not to come onsite/ or promptly leave the site after discussion with the Principal. Symtoms can include: fever or chills, coughs, sore throat, runny nose, shortness of breath, loss of taste or smell. Other information: SAPSASSA events have been cancelled Non-essential workers onsite should be minimised Other information regarding any restrictions relating to our end of year events including Year 7 Graduation and our END of YEAR concert evening will be communicated, as we receive these updates from our DEPARTMENT FOR EDUCATION, S.A.
