18.01.2022 "I take refuge in the quiet, and let my burdens go, one by one, until the earth and I ... both float in the same vast and holy silence." - Danna Faulds, Release See more

07.01.2022 End of year gathering for our yoga group. Fabulous day.

05.01.2022 Did you know the real reason why the knees are some of the first body parts to start giving one trouble? Here's a key lesson in biology that will change the way you think about your knees forever! Unlike other parts of our body, the cartilage in our knees does not have arteries that deliver blood and nutrients to it.... The cartilage gets its nutrients through a pumping action: as you work out/move/bear any weight, the fluid in the cartilage is squeezed out, and as you relax, fluid with more nutrients is sucked back in. So if you've been more sedentary than not, you now know why your knees are troubling you more - because they didn't get a greater degree of fluid exchange that would bring them nutrients! In fact, a 2007 Australian research paper confirms this: people who exercised a lot had healthier knees than their sedentary peers. Taking care of your knees and other joints can be done in some easy ways, too, that can support exercise as a route to radiant wellness. According to Ayurveda, massage is a soft-form of exercise that boosts circulation and has many benefits. Another key principle of Ayurveda is that "like increases like", and thus, you'll stand much to gain if you nourish your joints with oil massage daily.
