Shaun and Hayley, Alex, Garry and Bernie have been working hard in many directions to see Poowong Loch Cricket Club prosper. Stay tuned for regular updates. 23.01.2022 Five years ago we were guests at a cricket match at the MCG. Dean Jones was our host. The girls hastily drew up this impromptu and optimistic sign. Dean Jones was happy to oblige. Sadly Dean Jones innings is now finished. Well remembered by Poowong Loch Cricket Club.

20.01.2022 Good news of late with the club being approved for playing in b2 this season. A huge thanks goes to Garry Knox Alex Dixon and Bernie McDonald on getting this to happen. The club has appointed Matt Hancock and Nathan Bridle as captains this season. Both blokes bring a great wealth of cricket knowledge to help us through the new era of the club and push for success. They will also bring great leadership off field, helping the club along to inspire and help lead us into the new... future of the club Congratulations to Scott Head on being appointed as coach for this season having played for Poowong Loch for many years he will help push the club to be better on and off field We are shaping up for a good season ahead with these guys leading the way on and off field. If your wanting to have a hit/bowl your more than welcome to come down and join us every Tuesday and Thursdays nights from 5pm at the Loch Reserve

11.01.2022 Tomorrow night is D Day for the Poowong Loch Cricket Club. The LDCA Committee will decide on our proposal to play with one team in B Grade. Alex has volunteered to go to the Zoom meeting, if invited. Bernie has been busy getting quotes for the completion of the new pitch. ... Cricket training in the nets is Saturday morning 11.00am providing the weather is OK. The nets are in very good condition given the wet Winter. Ring Garry, 0419207594. 07.01.2022 Well done to Shaun and Bernie and Andrew O'Hoy for organising and laying the "carpet" on our new pitch. Great job, beautiful. Didn't cost that much either. Bit over $2000. A great legacy for the Reserve, even if the CC "takes a break". Seven at training Sunday morning. All observing social distancing. All worked hard for an hour and a half. Team slowly coming together. Importantly, Thursday night training starts this week. All welcome.... or at the very least contact Alex, Shaun, Garry or Bernie to signal your passion for cricket and the Poowong Loch Cricket Club.

01.01.2022 Poowong Loch Cricket Club have met with the LDCA and have submitted a proposal. "Poowong Loch respectfully request that they be affiliated and included in the 20/21 fixture as a one team entity in the B2 Grade." The LDCA Committee will "consider and decide" over the next 2 weeks. Your support for "Horn Dogs Heroes" is much appreciated.

01.01.2022 Good news yesterday when the Cricket Association gave a green light to Poowong Loch's proposal to have just one team and play B2 this season. This is a fresh start for Poowong Loch CC and the club is indebted to the Assoc. for agreeing to our request. The decision is subject to approval at the Assoc annual meeting on Oct 11.... Let the (cricket) games begin. See more
