15.01.2022 Hi! Mik and Gabe here For those who don’t know us - three Christmas times ago we opened POP for the first time. We had a dream to create a space that would celebrate everything local with an accessable, fun and supportive atmosphere. What a wild 12 months - and then some! We decided to take our pop-up shop and turn it into a full time community retail space and workshop studio. Just like most small businesses this year, we’ve been feeling the pinch in more than one way. We...’ve been so busy in the background hustling way too hard every day. It’s been so worth it and we’re pretty proud of how we’ve gotten through the year, built an outstanding staff team and have kept reiterating the importance of buying local the whole time. We are grateful for what we have learnt during a really tough time - lots of small things and some big ones too - but most of all, the critical importance of buying local and the true impact it has. Read that again - a real impact on real people and their livelihood. So thank you! To the community who have made everything possible, we appreciate you so much. You keep us positive, up-beat, fun and energised. Everyone who likes our posts, sends us messages, stops in and says hi or who even talks about POP to their family and friends - we literally love you. It’s the tiny details and huge hearts that makes a community. We have so many new and exciting things in the works and 2021 is set to be absolutely huge for us - with all sorts of announcements we just can’t wait to share. But for now, we’re here to ask something of you. Please buy local this Christmas. Keep the support high, keep the local economy churning and keep putting smiles on the faces of local makers.
