21.01.2022 Champ the Wonderdog!! Champ is a 7 year old Border Collie, and one of our amazing team of canine volunteers here on the POP! program; helping preschoolers overcome their phobia of dogs. Coming from a long line of working (herding) stock, Champ's destiny seemed marked from birth. However, at the age of 4, he was deemed unsuitable and returned to the breeder. Fortunately, he was re-homed with owner Sally, and for the past couple of years the two have been generously giving thei...r time volunteering with local community programs. A couple of fun facts about Champ: his favourite food is quail and his best party trick is spinning on the spot Sally says 3 words that sum up Champ are: empathetic, hard-working, and loyal. Thank you Sally and Champ for your wonderful contribution to this important research work!! 13.01.2022 The OCD Busters research team at the School of Applied Psychology, Griffith University want to know what impact COVID-19 might be having on OCD symptoms in youn...g people. We are inviting parents and/or caregivers of a child aged 5 - 17 years to complete a short, confidential research survey (20-30 minutes). The survey will ask several questions regarding your household's experiences over the past few months whilst navigating this period of confusion and upheaval. The survey will also ask questions about what you and your child may have been thinking, feeling or doing during this time. While we are interested in OCD/OCD symptoms specifically, your child does not need to have OCD or any mental health condition to participate. Please click here for more information and to complete the survey https://tinyurl.com/y7rc24dv The Griffith University Human Research Ethics Committee have approved this study (GU REF: 2020/261).
