It’s a whopping 600gm of cookie, but I assembled and decorated it all in one go and it didn’t break because the cookies are not brittle and the glue consistency icing sets quick! Our pre made icing takes the guesswork out of making your own icing, generally a tricky thing if you have never made it. Early bird pricing effective until Nov 15. #christmasinsydney

21.01.2022 Last week, I had a particularly difficult case which grated on me all week and wore me down. This coupled with a few other incidents, left me emotionally drained by week end. But all week, I was also greeted by smiles and cheerful words. Then on Sunday, when I was late for the cupcake pickups and really deserved some disgruntled customers, I was met with nothing but kindness and understanding. Life will always throw nasty things at you, but every kind act is a positive counterbalance to it. So here is a big thank you to all the beautiful people we meet, sometimes just strangers passing but dispensing kindness freely. You know, those where no one has attempted them before, you do a google and absolutely nothing comes up So when John said he needed redhead (as in the matches) cake pops, I said yes, then doubted myself when I started on them. 06.01.2022 The story about tutoring When I was making this cake and painting the grass, one of the people I work with said (half in jest), your art tutoring has paid off. When I was in year 9 in Malaysia, there was a big exam, a mini hsc. I was asked by my parents if I needed help in any subjects. I replied that I needed art tutoring. See, I could memorise history and geography; I could work through logic and rules for maths and science; languages was my best subjectBut how did on...e ‘art?’ It was my worst subject. It wasn’t easy to find an art tutor in my small town, but we found a nice teacher, who showed me how to shade, and introduced me to calligraphy and Chinese lettering art. I scored an A, and put art behind me, going on to do the sciences and maths for the hsc equivalent part of it. But hey, 30 years later, I am putting his shading tips to use on a cake.
