We will be down at Cabarita doing beach rides in January 2021. These rides are truely one of the most incredible experiences you can have on a horse there’s nothing quite like it. ... 23.01.2022 Kooralbyn private mastery students we have every Friday had some fun this morning doing some trot pole exercises. Both girls are riding very well and are looking forward to getting out to some comps Ava is riding Pan and Lani is riding Max 2 of our gentle giants

22.01.2022 Well last night I found out that my race car is definitely a typical temperamental chestnut mare had a good first race apart from a love tap with the wall due to vision issues and I couldnt see anything prior to the love tap we moved from starting in 5th up to 2nd. Had an awesome second race starting out of 2nd and holding on to it to finish 2nd despite the best efforts of a production modified car that was racing with us. For the last 2 laps I had no left turn but ma...de it work to finish the race before pulling to the infield. The no left turn was due to damage of the pulley on the water pump which caused the drive belt to pop off. In other terms the pony car broke its bridle unfortunately we did not have spares with us to fix the issue and no one elses spares fit we called it a night and missed the last race. Really happy with how that car is driving and Im starting to get the hang of how fast it is. Hopefully be back on the track by next weekend See more

21.01.2022 Dad has been busting to get a drive of the Poppetts car for a while now (since he was first looking at the car for me) and Saturday night just in time for Fathers Day his wish came true. We finally found some horses we both like It was a really busy day for me and a rocky start to the day for dad with him needing to find, buy and replace the starter motor in the car two hours before he had to leave for the track. With a new starter motor and all of us pulling together to ...help fix the car, pack and get going the night went really well. Dad put the car through its paces and had a lot of fun and it was nice to be able to help and pit for him even though he scared me a few times with some close calls. It was great to watch the car on the track and see what it can do and has helped dad be able to teach me to get more out of the car and myself as a new driver. I am really looking forward to this seasons racing and having more seat time in the car and I am so grateful to have a dad who gets it, can do it and pass on the knowledge to help me learn. Thanks Dad for all the work you have done on the car to make it the best it can be for me. So glad we do what we love and love what we do. See more

21.01.2022 Hi everyone hope you are all staying safe! Due to the COVID19 we have decided to hire our horses and ponies out to clients on a weekly basis minimum of 2 weeks. Even with government restrictions being eased we will not be going back to normal for some time as I have an immune suppressed brother I have to think of and keep as safe as possible and to do that we need to keep the risk at a minimum. This hire option limits the people entering the property which lowers the risk bu...t still enables us to keep our ponies in work, fit and healthy. Strict hygiene in relation to gear and social distancing measures have been put in place. The majority of our horses have been hired by our regular clients for the last month as a trial of this option which has been working well so if you are interested in this option call us ASAP as we have very limited ponies and horses still available. 20.01.2022 HOLIDAY FUN Due to restrictions still being in place we wont be doing any of our normal holiday clinics BUT we will be doing holiday bulk lessons and running an in house competition within riders lessons with prizes at the end of the holidays for each age division (participating in the in house competitions is not compulsory just a bit of fun for those that would like a challenge) Bulk lesson prices;... 20.01.2022 Its never boring around here and this weekend was no different to start it off we had Casper re injure an old eye injury that he did many years ago on Friday evening which lead to a trip to the vet clinic Friday night to get it looked at properly. What at first looked like just a normal eye ulcer turned out to be a lot more complicated and had 3 vets stumped as to what was going on (I never fail to give them the weird interesting cases).We ended up deciding to treat the e...ye extremely aggressively as an eye ulcer and reassess Monday or Tuesday. If there is no improvement we will be deciding if we do an eye graft or remove the eye completely. We are hoping with the aggressive round the clock every 2 hour treatment and a whole lot of luck we might be able to save the eye so everyone keep your fingers crossed He has been coping with the whole situation quite well and is liking being back in a stables and getting spoilt On the other hand Im not coping so well with no sleep and getting up every 2 hours in the freezing cold Hes lucky I love him Massive thank you to Scenic Rim Vets and the team for saving the day again and dealing with my weird animals

19.01.2022 Out to Glen Logan park this morning to give flick a lesson on her pony Wes and we smashed our 2020 goal of coming off lead in only 2 lessons we were going amazing on the lunge this morning so we decided to take the lead off and give it a go and little flick absolutely smashed it even going over some trot poles and doing some bending. You have definitely got the determination to do whatever you put your mind to kiddo the skys the limit

18.01.2022 Over the weekend I returned to where it all started for me with one of our gorgeous new show ponies Louie and my beautiful man Hank Apart from the challenge of me getting back into show horse swing and all of our classes clashing resulting in us missing a few classes as a result, both boys did well for their first ever show horse show Both had some initial nerves but came away with some good placings and Hank the cow horse and I going Champion In two classes. Thank you to ...Toni Harper Purcell and team, Sky for doing such a great job in Pony and childs classes considering she only rode the boys for the first time the day before, Maree & Brian for the visits and Hot Chocolate (yum), Katie and Flick for coming to watch and all the pack up help and especially Flick for babysitting Pip. Thanks also to mum for feeding all of my other babies, for putting her show mum hat back on and for the cup cakes (again yum) and also to Jacqui Deverill for saving me with a number holder and the chats. Hank showed me again he can do anything but still found a way to surprise me finding more energy and attitude than I had seen him with ever. 15.01.2022 Up date on little man Casper Back to the vets yesterday to see if there was any improvement. THANKFULLY its looking good and round the clock treatments with no sleep is paying off. I was not expecting it to be good news and was fully expecting to have to remove the eye yesterday. Perfect example of why its important no matter what if your equine health professionals say to do something no mater how annoying, frustrating and tiring you do it. Still not out of the woods yet by any means and have a long road ahead still but at this stage its looking positive Please ignore my tired drained face video taken last night at some ridiculous hour in the morning Thank you again to Scenic Rim Vets for all the work you do it is very much appreciated

10.01.2022 Little update on Caoimhe and Ronnie they are going great and kicking goals! We had our best lesson yet on Saturday morning working on ignoring ronnies head shaking and just keep pushing him forward. These two have come such a long way in a short time cant wait to see what the future holds for them

It is all starting to come together for Caoimhe and her hard work is paying off. 04.01.2022 We had our Christmas break up and presentation with our Poppetts riders and families. Unfortunately there were a few who were unable to join us due to other commitments. I am so proud of all our riders this year, it has definitely been tough at times but we made it and every single one of you have kicked your goals for the year! Huge thank you to all the parents that support these kids and support us you are a great bunch of people and I look forward to seeing you all back next year!

04.01.2022 Yesterday was a big milestone for Poppetts and myself as a coach. As a coach I am so proud of Caoimhe she was one of our first regular Tiny Tot riders and a complete beginner rider. She has been working hard and having regular lessons with me and attending clinics to learn everything she could so she could one day have her own pony Yesterday I was able to play a small part in making her dream come true. I am looking forward to helping Caoimhe and little Ronnie get to know each other and work together. Congratulations kiddo

03.01.2022 5 more ponies out on holiday today with 6 polo ponies. Tricky, rabbit, tippa who are personal horses and pan and tangles who are school ponies. Rabbit decided the polo ponies made great new friends and took off with them, tricky and pan walked off together and tippa and tangles were first to arrive and had made them selves at home down the back by the time we got back with the last load
