08.01.2022 Hello, it’s me! The face behind @poppiesandprickles I just thought I’d share with you a bit about myself and how Poppies & Prickles came to be! A little #meetthemaker P & P was originally born 2 months after my little babe Alfie was. I always loved pottering around with plants and accessories and there was a real little market for selling them in #stgeorgeqld . Alfie was (and still is) an amazing baby and we settled in to a routine pretty quickly so I felt it was time... to do something for myself and to keep busy! And as for the name, we always referred to Alfie in my tummy as ‘Poppy’ and so I went with Poppies, and that represents the pretties that I was stocking, and Prickles for the plants! Since I opened up shop, Poppies & Prickles has had many changes, from plants and accessories to closing down (yay for only temporarily!), a new house, a new baby (Lotti gal), and finally, to MAKING and selling my own #polymerclayearrings I’ve learned a fair bit since I became a #mumpreneur and began my #smallbizlife - regarding running it; what is popular, liked by, and suited to my loyal customers and growing community. But I’m still working on the time management thing though However, the best lesson I’ve learn’t is that I LOOOVE what I do now; it’s me time, and it’s relaxing, fun, and I love being able to be creative and fiddle around with colours and shapes, and most of all, sharing my makes & earring love with you guys! I’m so excited for what’s to come and I can’t wait to show off my #poppiesandpricklesearrings newbies!
