You grasp for a sense of normalcy, trying to distract your child from their pain and this strange place they've been taken to. A kind nurse starts playing with your child, blowing bubbles for them to pop, and offering them toys to play with. ... Unfortunately, there's no federal budget for hospitals to purchase items to entertain kids with. This is where the Big Hearts for Lil Coasters Toy Drive comes to the rescue. This is our second year gathering toys, and donations to buy toys, to donate to Wishlist & the Sunshine Coast University Hospital. Last year was a great success, but there's always a need for more donations, as pencils run short and colouring books are completed.
