05.01.2022 NECK, SHOULDER AND BACK PAIN Is working from home causing you back pain? Missing getting massages done? ... Here are some simple tips you can do at home to help 1. DRINK WATER Water helps with blood circulation in the body, when muscles are sore the more blood that is getting to the area the quicker the muscles will heal. It also removes toxins from the body by pushing them into the lymph nodes. 2.STRETCHING When muscles are sore it’s because the muscle fibres have bunched up together due to over use or incorrect posture. It’s something simple but often when I ask people say they forget to do it. I suggest setting reminders on your phone at different times of the day to get up and do some simple stretches (especially before bed at night) you don’t have to do them for long but you will notice an improvement if you do. I will attach some photos below of stretches you can do. 3. CORRECT SLEEP POSTURE Making sure you have good posture when you sleep is very important because this is when our body heals. The best position to sleep is on your back or side. I myself used to find I would sleep on my stomach (which is the worst position) because of back pain but since I have started sleeping with a pillow under my knees while on my back my back pain has disappeared. If you can’t sleep on your back the next best thing is on your side with a pillow between your legs, ensuring your body is still stretched out with only a slight bend at the knees. 4. MAGNESIUM One of magnesium’s benefits is to regulate muscle function in the body. Taking magnesium tablets or having baths with magnesium salt can help to heal the sore muscles in the body. 5. FOAM ROLLERS Foam rollers are something you can use at home to help massage out the muscle fibres that have bunched together causing pain. If you decide to invest in a foam roller make sure you look up the correct way to use your foam roller before you use it. I hope these tips are helpful and if you have any questions feel free I send the page a message! Hopefully it won’t be too long until I can see you again for your massages!

04.01.2022 UPDATED INFORMATION Even though we have had the go ahead to stay open, we as a salon have decided to stay closed after Tuesday and will reassess the situation in a weeks time. I have opened tomorrow up again but only from between 2pm-6pm so these will be the last available appointments for the week until we have another look what is going on next week. ... Sorry for all the confusion but we have been receiving mixed information from the state and federal government. It’s a stressful time for a lot of people at the moment so please remember to be kind to anyone you come in contact with in the next few days. But of course if you are sick or have travelled in the last month please, please do not come in. Thank you everyone for your understanding xx
