15.01.2022 To my beautiful Corowa peeps, on what has already been a crazy day with the border restrictions we have some bad news.. Our old mate Jack the dog has passed on. He gave us 15 years friendship, loyalty and a score arm from throwing his balls, or lemons! He has sat at most of my brides feet in our meeting. We will miss him dearly. I will be closed tomorrow while i tackle a plan to get flowers to my Corowa residents, we will fill you all in soon, once I work a few things out. 12.01.2022 1 week done of living in NSW. Not sure if I’ll last another! Missing my kids and my home terribly. For those who don’t know, we live in Rutherglen. Rutherglen wasn’t added to the border bubble when they shut down the border, even though Rutherglen is less them 10k away. Ive been unable to get a permit. I’ve had to pack up and move to Corowa to keep our shop open. My kids are back back in Rutherglen. It’s breaking my heart. But I’m not alone. Sending love and hugs to our Melbourne peeps and all business owners struggling.

11.01.2022 Running has kept me focused whilst I’ve had to endure separation from my family and home during the border closure. As I was unable to get a permit, I packed up and moved corowa to keep the business open. There are so many people in the same situation as me, and a lot of others who are doing it tough in other ways, I see the struggle and hear the stories everyday, stories of mental health and anxiety are a daily conversation within my florist shop walls. But I also see the ...messages of love, hope and gratitude that get sent daily, makes my heart happy. So wanting to do something I’ve decided to raise some money for Beyondblue, whist I smash out my first half marathon to the Balldale Hotel with my amazing trainer Megan Wilson and husband who have both kept me focused over the last 6 weeks. 09.01.2022 A little update on the border shut down Our girls can get a care permit to cross daily for me to homeschool at the shop. Rutherglen wasn’t added to the bubble it’s been added to the border region and only for critical workers to cross. Still no category for business owners! Our girls are doing ok, they stayed with me for the weekend Corowa, I know I keep saying this but the support and love has been so amazing! It’s blown my mind, and the only thing keeping m...e from not crossing back. Thanks for all the calls, drop ins and cards! I’m humbled by it all. 03.01.2022 H O M E I’m home, home with my husband, my kids, my cat, my plants! Just home. It was a rough few weeks for everyone, an emotional roller coaster.
