25.01.2022 Eight years ago, according to Flowers Victoria, there were 320 commercial rose growers in Australia. This has now dropped to fewer than 20 because of the rising tide of cheap imports. #supportlocallygrownflowers

24.01.2022 Support local flowers growers (like our favourite sohorosefarm who has a pop up store & is offering contactless pick up of online orders) this Valentine’s Day. So many Australian (often family owned) rose farms have gone out of business over the years because of imports flooding our market. Continue to support local growers and we’ll have better local supply and less need for imports, that are half dead and soaked in round up before they even arrive. Nothing romantic about th...at. Ask your local florist for a bunch of something seasonal and you’ll be rewarded with glorious amazingness. Happy (lockdown) lovers day Victoria
