15.01.2022 Back then the days were so long. I often counted the hours until Adam came home. These were some of the most challenging times in my life, mixed with this incredible feeling of love...like I had never felt before. . I hated when other parents told me you will look back on this time fondly and it just goes so fast. I seriously wanted to deck them, cry and run away! ... . 9 days now until Reuben starts kindergarten. I think some of those parents may have been right! Today I am the one crying as we do his school uniforms. You’re such a baby mummy stop crying! He tells me. . Then, I realise it’s our last few Mummy and Reuben days and the tears start all over again! Are you crying again Mummy? He says with a little smirk. This kid knows he is growing and so ready for this next chapter. . Turns out it does go bloody fast and I wouldn’t change anything. 14.01.2022 I just don’t have time to meditate.Sound familiar? I also used this line for many years along with I cant sit still and my brain just wanders. . Last year I committed to diving deep into meditation and breath work. Thanks to Covid and lockdown I commenced a regular daily practice, which I have now maintained for coming up to a 1 year.... . Do you know there is no right or wrong when it comes to mediation? I played with many different styles last year to find my groove. I starting my journey in March with my beautiful and talented friend @nicola_laye . I then moved onto learning Pranayama breath work, 1 on 1 with an Indian Ayurvedic Doctor, and explored @somabreath techniques to help further my knowledge. . In December I finished the year with the incredible gift of studying Transcendental Meditation with @tm.australia . 06.01.2022 This week I did a Yin class with my beautiful friends at @modernmovementyoga I held about 8 postures over the hour class, and upon commencing I was instructed to do As little as possible. . What????? Is she for real??? Doesnt she realise its 9.30am on a Tuesday and we should be doing some sort of Power, Cardio sweat your head off Yoga? ... . So many things started to go through my head.... But I have so much to do. What about that washing? Reubens room is so messy. I need to do those accounts. What will I teach in Barre tonight? What shall I cook for dinner? . By the end of the hour I lay still in Shavasana. The class was over but I didnt want it to end. I was the last to leave. Just a few more minutes please . Turns out I found out why they have that class at 9.30am on a Tuesday after school drop off. .
