25.01.2022 A little note when ordering from both Porcupine Crafts & Betty Box Pleat on the same day. We have 'Tech guy' working in the background to solve the 'double postage' issue. In the meantime we have been calculating the cheapest postage cost and refunding the other postal charge as soon as a 'double' order arrives. The changeover happened so fast, we quite literally zoomed down the road, (no speed limits were broken), hugged Kylie, grabbed the stock, hugged Kylie, zoomed home... and started unpacking. 23.01.2022 A quick note to everyone know, we have now sourced the Closed Cell Foam required for the 5th Avenue Bag by Maggy55 and it is in transit. We are also working on obtaining 'Bontex' as per the pattern also. Cheers, Janet =)

First and foremost, we are committed to supporting you, our wonderful customers throughout the course of this pandemic and providing continuity of service to the very best of our ability. As many of you already know we are a family run Aussie Online Business. What most of you do not know is that mum (Janet) has an Auto Immune disease. This has meant that we have had a heightened aware...ness of maintaining high levels of cleanliness and hygiene for many years, it is an everyday norm for us. 14.01.2022 Hi all, Sunday already, Im not sure that Im ready for another Monday so soon after the last one. This week, brought some goodies and a *sigh* worthy moment.... First the Goodies: Cosmo Fabrics Japan arrived and will be listed tomorrow on Porcupine Crafts. Also, boxes 1, 2 and 3 of our Betty Box Pleat hardware order has arrived, we are currently unpacking and processing the pre-orders, we will then restock the website. Plus, August will be kicking off with two fabulous pattern releases the BOMC and Lorelei Jaynes Bag Pattern Club both release on 1st August, we will be stocking the hardware kits for both each month, on Betty Box Pleat. Now for the sigh worthy moment: Box 4 of our order has decided to do a 'Grande Tour' of the country. A rescue party has been formed by way of the courier company and we are hoping for its safe return this week. 12.01.2022 Hi Everyone, Welcome to my Sunday rambles. Do you find that when you are waiting and waiting for something it always arrives when you are not home or are literally ‘heading out the door’? No? Just me? ... After what feels like eons (okay I may be exaggerating, a little), parcels full of goodies arrived. Yep, I had to walk out the door and leave them all until this weekend. Upside, it is like Christmas currently as I dive into boxes full ofStuff! Side Note: Let’s be honest postal delays are frustrating, but, it isn’t the fault of those at the ‘coal face’, they are doing their best to work with the rules set by those at the top. Next time you interact with a postie or courier, please give them a smile of appreciation, and say thank you. To our lovely AusPost Bargara crew and our Couriers, thank you. 06.01.2022 Did you know? NASA used 225kg (497lbs) of Portuguese cork in space shuttle Columbia. It was used to partially insulate the massive external fuel tank. It took the bark of 225 cork oak trees to accomplish it. The main reason was for it's fire retardant qualities. Amazing the things you find when looking for something else.
