25.01.2022 Today’s market update- persimmons, egg plants and kaffir lime - loving this store!

22.01.2022 Thankyou everyone- the store is exceeding our expectations and at the moment there is so much produce to share - so please pop in tomorrow and shop.... that way we can re stock!! (No need to donate to CFA this week as we want everyone to make use of our communities amazing produce, even if you don’t have something to contribute) Also remember the adjacent store has essentials so if you or someone else needs a hand - please utilize.

20.01.2022 Thank you for everyone’s ongoing encouragement to reopen the pub. Today’s good news of the lifting of restrictions and increasing venue numbers has come as a g...reat relief. These numbers will allow for a viable business and is very much music to our ears! Start tuned as we will make an announcement in the coming week in relation to the reopening date, however, be assured it will be this side of Christmas. Both the McGillivrays and myself have spent countless hours on a weekly basis assessing the viability, and we really thank you for your encouragement and ongoing support. This has not been an easy time for any of us. For all staff both past and those seeking a new adventure please send us your latest CV or summary of experience to [email protected] Regards McGillivray and Boynton families.

19.01.2022 Thank you everyone for your support during January, but most of all thankyou to our team for all of their sensational effort. From the youngest to the oldest they all put in a stellar effort, with many working back-to-back split shifts. So during February we are going to provide our committed staff a quieter Week; and to do that we are going to close Monday and Tuesday’s. We will also kick off the Members Draw night again in Feb, as well as some thank you events for our loya...l locals supporters. Again thank you all.

18.01.2022 Thank you for everyone’s encouragement to re open. Unfortunately re opening isn’t as simple as just opening the doors as it will include re employing a full kitchen, floor and bar teams and a full re stocking. So with this in mind it means we have to be very sure that we can STAY open with continuity and ensure enough visitation onsite to not impact the long term viability of the business. Both the McGillivrays and myself have spend countless hours on a weekly basis assessin...g this and we know you will understand and respect our decision to continue to wait a little longer before we can confidently manage the re launch of the venue. PLEASE Understand that we cannot wait to open and welcome all of our locals back - so in the meantime please stay safe and we look forward to seeing you all as soon as we can. Regards McGillivray and Boynton families.

16.01.2022 THANKYOU everyone, we have had great support today with our new co-op produce store - and to that we have had a request to also be a point to share household items for those in need; so we have opened a second shop. This will be where you can drop non perishable items for those in need - i.e. dried pasta, rice, canned foodstuffs, UHT milk, toilet paper, etc. Please help manage this space by assisting in keeping it tidy and ensure anyone that needs support gets it. The shops are next to each other opposite Marty’s Garage around the corner. (between the main entry and the accommodation entry on Bailey Street.)

04.01.2022 Good morning from frosty Porepunkah. Thank you everyone for returning this past long weekend and showing your support to our region. We know many of you wanted to come back post bushfires only to be stuck at home in ISO! So it was great to see the town buzzing again. Our towns economy is Tourism and each and every dollar spent in our town ensures not only the frontline tourism businesses like ours benefit but all of the services industries are supported. With the last 6 mont...hs lost, due to the double hit of Bushfires and Covid, it is and will be a slow recover for our regions businesses. It will not be until next Summer that the region will really see the numbers back up to the scale to support what is required for true economic recovery. It is important to know we as businesses are planning and really looking forward to that recovery. So as we continue to work to reopen please continue to show us your support as we look forward to being able to drink a beer together at the bar again soon. Until then we sincerely want to thank everyone for your understanding over this long weekend and we look forward to be reopening soon.

04.01.2022 SALE TODAY 3:30-4:30pm (Saturday) Due to still not being able to open we are having a Bottleshop Stocktake Sale this afternoon. Awesome prices, strictly sealed takeaway only, please respect social distancing. ... Credit card or cash accepted.

02.01.2022 Firstly, thank you to everyone for your support over the Summer bushfires and the COVID9 pandemic. It has been very difficult for our community and ourselves and we hope to be open again as soon as it is viable to do so. As you can imagine, opening a venue of this size with the restrictions in place, will be challenging but it is especially challenging for us, on the back of the economic losses from the bushfires. So unfortunately, we will not be open for the upcoming June lo...ng weekend but keep posted for our reopening in the coming months. Thanking you for your understanding and support going forward The McGillivray and Boynton Families.
