25.01.2022 Just installing a lil fridge on this project

25.01.2022 Watch this space! New installation on the move. Constructing 1 x -20 freezer room, 1 x cold room, 1 x packaging room and a store room in this factory. Titan Heatcraft VSD condensing units, Kirby evaporators, custom switchboard and controls with temperature alarm monitoring. Watch the transformation over the next 6 to 8 weeks!

24.01.2022 There is always one!

24.01.2022 Just a couple interesting photos! Followed this truck the other day, hope they recovered the refrigerant! One of many jobs we come across, 6 of 8 fans faulty and a little bit dirty! By the time we degreased and water blasted, fitted new fan motors and rewired you would not have recognised the panel. Operated very efficiently when re-commissioned. Thankfully the staff had cleaned the rest of the cabinet where it was located when we returned. Some places one would not eat at if they saw what we see!!!

23.01.2022 At times we are proud to assist with helping charity organisations and attemp to assist and donate when we can. This is Just a little cold room we installed a couple of days ago for One Care that is a volunteer operated food supply for the under-privilaged and homeless and people in genuine need. New panel room with a second hand door and track. Thanks to all the suppliers such as Heatcraft, Passmores isulated panels that supplied equipment, panel at the miimum outlay and to Brendan for his time assisting with the install.

23.01.2022 All piped up, evacuated, test run and charged with refrigerant! Now pumped down and will commission on 8th october to allow concrete floors a few weeks to cure. Watch this space for a video walk through once commissioned!!!

22.01.2022 A selection of interesting photos of things we come across. 1st photo is the fuel contamination sample from one of our Ford Rangers, destroyed the fuel injectors, injector pump and fuel rail, $7k repair, advise anyone with a diesel to install a pre-filter for fuel system that seperates water etc. Two other Rangers arrived into Ford service with same problem within days of ours. Truck has had 2 turbos, 2 intercoolers, 2 intercooler hoses from intercooler to intake manifold, ...and several other parts and sensors with engine and interiour, 5 years old and has only done 165000kms !! We have two of these and each one is totally different to drive. Both bought same day and were off the same lot and identical models! 2nd photo, Freezer room 2 years old, good quality equipment but installed on the cheap, (not by us) appears to be installed by and air-conditioner mechanic due to pair-coil pipe run and the way it was wired. Controller not programmed properly. Had been giving customer grief since installation. Again the old cheapest price syndrome, you get what you pay for. 3rd photo, customer cleaned condensor, and successfully folded over the fins! also had ingested cooking grease, removed unit, degreased and straightened condensor fins, achieved alot lower head pressure and better breathing, compressor survived!! 4th photo, cabinet system condensing unit, developed leak in condensor core due corrosion, replaced unit system works 100% better.

21.01.2022 Another upgrade and early morning!

19.01.2022 We would like to say a big thank you to all that came and joined us yesterday for our annual open day which was a great success!! Thank you to Gail ONeill and ...Karen Andrews MP for attending. Tomewin Rural Fire Brigade and Murwillumbah Rural Fire Brigade for bringing your trucks and helping out. Thank you to Asn Coolangatta, F45 Training Currumbin, Balter Brewing Company, Gold Coast Suns, Jann Stuckey and Port-A-Cool Refrigeration Services for your generous donations. Thank you to all of our members and family who assisted with the organising and set up of the day. We hope to see you soon, if not we will see you next next year!!

19.01.2022 Freezer room ready for commissioning, cold room ready for concrete and packaging room progressing!

19.01.2022 And so it started! Freezer room up, evaporator installed, pipes and cables run before concrete pour, even have the lights on for concreter!. Cold room construction started, unit slab down and designated refrigeration elctrical switch board installed and livened up with under floor heaters installed in freezer room. First concrete pour next Tuesday.

18.01.2022 I am not a fan of Maneurope compressors but I have to give this one its "DUE" ! Well past its use by date, with a failed condenser fan motor, inability to pull below a 20PSI back pressure, a head pressure that is beyond its standard operating pressure, running on about half its gas charge, and a heavily corroded condenser it still hung in there for the duration. It was also one of the worst units we have ever had to reach to service, off a 4 meter extension ladder, side on. Health and safety would of had a hernia!!! So new brackets, dropped unit lower and moved above a roof with walkway access and a decent new cover, system operating nicely with perfect temps in rooms and a cycling unit makes for excellent efficiency, power saving and great serviceability!

17.01.2022 Burleigh Baker wanted this proofer to have low humidity. Something you cant buy off a shelf as usual!!! Sourced parts, constructed components and modified Huumidity controller and installed new temperature controller and "YAHOO", low humidity!!! Ambient humidity was 65%!

17.01.2022 Sabotage???? Fast food restaurant The things you come across on the job! Called to freezer room flooding water onto floor and product from freezer room drain which is commoned to the cold room drain. Suspect dis-gruntled employee as there is no way possible for evaporator fans to suck bottle caps and rolled up alluminium foil into evaporators!

16.01.2022 All up and running, first check after 1 month of operation. Packaging cold room just off defrost. Condensing units purring like kittens and handling load with minimum effort. First power bill was 50% less than projected!!!!

15.01.2022 Commissioned rack driving 2 x 15 kwatt low temp evaporators in the freezer room and a 15kwatt at -40sst blast room. Photos of before and after. Primary control a Dixel XC660D rack controller and a 37Kwatt VLT slaved to rack controller. Suction temp 1 is set for -32sst and 2nd suction set for -42sst when blast is called for. System running on R404A with a charge of 180kg.

14.01.2022 Custom designated refrigeration switchboard we have constructed for new install. Includes Frig-bot monitors and room controllers. 100amp load supply which will run freezer room, cold room, packaging room and prep room air-conditioning and all ancillary electrical. MCC30Amp freezer room, MCC38amp cold/package room circuits, 3 phase freezer fans and heaters, 3 phase cold room fans. 2 x Titan VSD condensing units. 4 probe sensing for all rooms to allow for efficient temperature averaging throughout rooms. More to come as construction starts next week!

13.01.2022 First service check on Burleigh Baker after first 6 weeks, all operating without any faults, advised by customer that power saving and cost for first month was awesome and considerably less than he expected. Note new roof and groomed area around installation.

11.01.2022 Hello all, if you visit please like and shareposts etc as would like to know who visits how our page is stacking up, comments welcome too!!!!

09.01.2022 Landing of the Cessna Caravan at Lady Elliott Not an overly long runway, arrived in a Cessna Caravan and flew out in an Otter. There overnight for work, terrific staff, fantastic weather, great food!!

09.01.2022 Replaced the faulty unit with this new unit last week, burnt out compressor and seized condenser fan motor, also converted to new refrigerant. more efficient, lower operating time & cost as well as a quiet running unit! Several start up problems such as incorrectly wired terminal from factory, failure of compressor module 10 minutes into commissioning! Also vibration of oil separator, additional bracket installed to eliminate. Otherwise a nice well set up 4Hp condensing unit.

08.01.2022 The repairs we come across!! This sad evaporator was in an old cold room estimated to be 40 plus years old. The room is so old it is wood polystyrene sandwich and a bit water logged! Though corroded and inefficient still worked to run the room at 2 degrees though very inefficient. Owner saw the logic in replacing the evaporator for efficiency and before it failed. They made them tough back then!!!

08.01.2022 From the staff of Pac Refrigeration Services to all our customers, followers and friends, seasons greetings to all and wishing you and your families a very merry christmas and a prosperous new year.

07.01.2022 Please note, our website is down pending re-build. Check it out in a few days!

05.01.2022 An overnight trip to Lady Elliott Island yesterday. Many thanks to the management, staff and Peter Gash for choosing PAC Refrigeration Services to supply, repair and maintain your refrigeration equipment. Reloacated 2 refrigeration units that run the Bistro self-serve cabinet as the condensing units struggled through the summer heat. 15 meter pipe runs each, units modified for the long pipe runs with new oil seperators. Rewired to pump down on off cycle, cabinet control wiri...ng modified. Relocation dropped head pressure by 75Psi per unit !! Also replaced 1 x evaporator fan motor and re-programmed controllers as the settings had been changed by un-known others!! Result: cabinets attained temperature in shorter run time and condensing units ran alot colder. Also a quick service check on all cold rooms and freezer room. Many thanks to Brendan for your assistance with the re-location, Pleased you enjoyed the trip. See more

04.01.2022 Another work trip to Lady Elliott island today. Many thanks to the management, maintenence staff and Peter Gash for choosing PAC Refrigeration Services to supply and service your equipment. Not an overly long runway, arrived in a Cessna Caravan and flew out in an Otter. There overnight for work, terrific staff, fantastic weather, great food!! We highly recommend Ladt Elliott Island as a destination to enjoy the Great Barrier reef, fantastic snorkling, diving and reef viewing. We spotted many whales on the flight up and saw several breaching just off the island beaches.

04.01.2022 All finished and commissioned. Britts Select Meats SouthTweed Heads new cold room, 100mm walls and ceiling, Pallet size swinging access door, would have prefered a slider but no room to slide!. Approximately 8500 watts of refrigeration capacity to hold cartoned meats palleted and racked. Connected to the Titan VSD unit running other equipment as seen in earlier post. Went from 23 degrees to 3.5 degrees in 35 minutes un-loaded, we were pleased concrete had dried and set over the last 12 days otherwise could have cracked! lighting are two 45W LED weather proof light assemblies. Many thanks to Britts Select Meats for choosing Pac Refrigeration Services for the supply, service and repairs to their refrigeration equipment.

04.01.2022 A rebuild of an old freezer room. 2.4 x 2.4 x 2.4 small freezer room utilizing original equipment with replacement 150mm panel room. Panel 2nd hand but was only used at Commonwealth games for 3 weeks so re-manufactured to make this room. New mounting bracket and cover for unit, rewired simpler!! O/Haul condensing unit, repair evaporator, re-programmed controller as it should be set, Runs like a clock -20 degrees Celsius.

03.01.2022 Proud to help our rural fire brigade and when people are in need.

02.01.2022 Memories are always re-surfacing, It is nice to see one that has been preserved as a display for the future generations. The owner of Miami Ice Leo Grevis was the owner and was an absolute gentleman who worked this business into his 80s. I miss the talks we had on his old equipment and the history he used to tell me and I am sure he would be proud to see one of his Ammonia compressors on display outside the apartments on his old site.
