22.01.2022 Ono, Abe, Maruyama, Hashimoto and other Judo Highlights! #JCL #Judo #JudoLover

21.01.2022 No Judo is making life slow at the moment - but judo news is always a way to perk up spirits. It is with great thanks and appreciation that the PAJC accepts this awesome donation from the team at Gulf & Ranges Optometrists. Mitch and the team have always been very supportive of our club and I'd like to think that he takes his Gi into work everyday for solo practice and to intimidate unruly customer, as well as accepting donations on our behalf.... Once again, thank you for this donation and kind words about our club. #Gulf&Ranges#PAJC#backonthematsoonteam.........

10.01.2022 To be successful at judo you need: Hard work Commitment Patience Respect... A decent physio This is hard in the country as we don’t have a lot at training partners and to hit the higher belts not only do you need the above qualities but you need determination. Well done to this guy on his well earned judo blue belt. He loves his wrasslin and this is just the beginning.

10.01.2022 FYI - was posted on the members page yesterday Evening families, At this point in time training tomorrow is on as per usual. Given the current climate, we are paying a lot of attention to what is happening to sports clubs at a local, state and national level.... I commend the local basketball committee for making the necessary hard decisions for their players and families given the number of people they have go through the stadium. We taking into consideration the fact that there are no confirmed cases here yet, in our local community. It is of course up to families to decide whether or not to bring your children/ attend training. We 100% support you in your decisions. Personal hygiene is very important. Gis should be clean, hands washed and even a shower before training would be a preferable option. Any coughing or sneezing will need the person to go wash their hands and all players will wash hands/ use the sanitiser before coming on the mats. Our health policy stipulates that any student who is sick should stay home until they are better. We will be strictly enforcing this policy. This includes people/ family members who are watching the sessions. This is a timely reminder for all members to treat personal hygiene with utmost importance. Given the close contact nature of our sport, illness and infection can be easily spread if not correctly managed. We'll do our best to keep classes running but our players & families well being is far more important, so we'll wait and see what happens. We'll let you know what is happening ASAP. When all is said and done the PAJC is around for the long haul. #PAJC#washyourhands

09.01.2022 COVID-19 The PAJC committee has been monitoring the advise passed down from health authorities, The National Judo Federation and Judo SA. To protect the health of our players, coaches and families the committee has decided to suspend training until at least the beginning of term 2. This is not a decision that has been made lightly, however we feel that it is required and it now brings us into line with most other Judo clubs in South Australia. Please note that JudoSA has al...so canceled all upcoming events including the Monsters Tournament. We encourage all members to make use of the vast amount of online judo content during this time and it is our hope that by taking this measure we can get back to judo as soon as possible. The committee will continue to keep members updated as things progress.

04.01.2022 WE ARE BACK Our Committee met last night, and we believe that we are good to go in regard to commencing JUDO this Monday the 29th of June. Yes, it is week 10 and we will be going into the holidays, but we really want to end the term on a high and have some ‘welcome back’ mat time. For the junior players, this will involve a lot of basic ‘back to judo’ fun For the seniors, to quote Dr Jigaro Kano, the founder of Judo: ‘It is on like Donkey Kong’ (it’s a real quote, you can Goo...gle it if you don’t trust me. Not sure why you wouldn’t trust me..) Here’s what is important to know: We have filled out a CoVid plan and are sending it to the council to make sure that it crosses the Ts and dots the Is. JUNIOR CLASS will run from 6:00 6:50. This allows 10 minutes for the mat to be cleaned. The role will be taken on the mat by a coach we will keep the players at the door for pick up at the end of the session, so people don’t need to come in. Discussion last night involved the belief that due to space restrictions, we can have 20 players on the mat (not counting coaches) we are not expecting more than 20 but if you are doing a drop off it would be a good idea to stick your head in and check. We MUST adhere to this. MUST. At this point we prefer only 1 parent per family group staying and watching the chairs in the watching area will need to be spread out. Obviously, this will depend on how many parents are staying. There will be hand soap and hand sanitizer one the side of the mat these will be applied during breaks & as often as we can find. Anyone with any semblance of sniffles, cough, runny nose will not be allowed (or wanted) on the mat common sense is the key here Please look at the SANFL picture I will add to this post. Players must have changed out of school clothes / hopefully showered before attending training. This is not optional The change rooms will not be available for use (for now) this is super important to know. We are sure that as restrictions lessen (over the holidays) we will have more ability to run things as per usual. These are interesting times and the PAJC wants to lead the way in regards to the resumption of Judo in this district/ state. Any questions, concerns & comments, please direct towards a coach/ member of the committee. Our goal is to provide judo fun to our community and the best way for that to happen is through good communication and team work. Tomorrow marks 100 days since Judo last happened in this town. Monday is a new start. Any change of plans will be posted ASAP please pass this information on to non facebook families #PAJC#Herewego#2020 See more
