24.01.2022 THANKYOU, THANKYOU, THANKYOU!!!!! We would like to thank all those people who helped make our GARAGE SALE on the October long weekend a success. Those who donated items for sale....... Those who cooked for our trading table.... Those who came along and supported us.... Many thanks to all We are happy to say we took approx $1300, this will go towards purchasing something from the Wishlist at our local hospital, possibly chairs for the Transition Room currently being set up as mentioned in a previous post. This will be decided at our next meeting. Our fundraising will now go into recess until 2021, let’s hope we can start out strongly & safely next year, depending on COVID-19. Once again many thanks to all. By supporting us you are supporting your local Hospital.

24.01.2022 THANK YOU ALL SO MUCH ..... Thank you to everyone that supported us with our road side Mothers Day flower stalls. Special thanks to Margaret for her effort, one very determined lady to raise money for our hospital, thankyou from us all ....... Thanks to Colleen Hewett, Lex Stringer, Margaret & Rob Routley, Julie Arbon for giving us flowers either to put with Margarets or selling them themselves. Thanks to Lyn & Tony Brown for bunching & delivering to Barunga Village, and Chris Dalling for helping me with the bunching at Margarets. We raised $346.05, a great effort when we had resigned ourselves to not having a stall as a fundraiser this year due to COVID-19. We thank everyone for their kind donations...... BY SUPPORTING US YOU ARE SUPPORTING YOUR LOCAL HOSPITAL......

23.01.2022 MOTHERS DAY FLOWERS It is with much regret that due to COVID- 19 restrictions we feel morally bound to protect our volunteers and our community and therefore have made the hard decision to cancel our flower stall in front of the IGA, Friday May 8th. We wish all Mothers a Happy Mothers Day. 10.01.2022 UPDATE, UPDATE, UPDATE!!!!! Just letting you all know that due to COVID-19 a lot of our fundraising will be curtailed. We had a couple of events semi-planned for mid year but we have decided that we will no longer go ahead with these at this time.... Those who have volunteered to help us with our events, rest assured we have not forgotten you, we will be in touch when we are back to organising events to raise money for our local hospital. Which brings me to our VERY VERY successful quiz night, we raised $1923.75, a remarkable effort. Thank you once again to our many sponsors and those that attended, you were very generous. We are looking to purchase a Sling -Lifter that goes to the ground. The cost of this piece of equipment is $6000, as you can appreciate with our curtailed fundraising we may put the purchase of this on hold for a short period, at least until after we have our Mothers Day Flowers Stall (barring further restrictions), otherwise we will leave our kitty looking quite depleted.... Thank you to all for helping us to support our Local Hospital

06.01.2022 SAVE THE DATE, SAVE THE DATE, SAVE THE DATE !!!!! Lots of ideas for fundraising in the coming year, some of which are starting to firm up. QUIZ NIGHT, QUIZ NIGHT....... Friday, February 14th, 2020 .... SO bring along your valentine and enjoy some fun and laughter. Please mark this date on your calendar... Watch this space for venue, time etc... At our meeting on Friday 8th, November we moved to purchase a set of Food Moulds for the Hospital Kitchen. these are designed to make textured foods look like the real thing, and as we ‘eat with our eyes’ it is important to make textured food look appealing on the plate. The cost of a set of moulds was $175, a small price to pay to enhance the enjoyment of meals for both patients in the Hospital & Meals on Wheels recipients. Our next meeting will be at our Christmas Lunch at the Port Broughton Hotel, Friday 13th, (oh,oh) December at 12 noon. Anyone thinking of joining the auxiliary will be welcome. Please let Cheryl Napier know by Friday 6th December. 0427 797855 Once again thank you to all who have supported us in any way during the past year.
