24.01.2022 COVID-19 has swept back into South Australia, posing our greatest health challenge in generations. It’s a challenge I know we will overcome, because we’ve done... it before. For the next six days we need to stay home and isolate, to break the chain of transmission and contain this cluster. This circuit breaker will give our world class health teams the time they need to protect our community. We won’t get a second chance to prevent a second wave of COVID-19. It’s a silent enemy and that’s why we’re going hard and going early. I want to share some important facts about the situation at hand: We have caught this cluster very early We know where the links of this cluster are We have an opportunity to stop this spread We need to continue to move quickly Our concern is that if we don’t have this circuit breaker we will not stay ahead of this. We are at a critical point, but we will get through this. We may be physically distanced, but today South Australians have never been more united. I’m so proud of South Australians’ response to this latest outbreak. Thank you for playing your role in keeping our community safe and strong.
