03.01.2022 Happy World Oceans Day! This morning our Pre-Kindy & Kindy classes held a meeting to discuss how we can care for the ocean. We then had a beach clean up in our sandpit, someone had left lots of rubbish! Luckily the children were able to clean it up in no time at all.... Inside the classroom the children created some stunning artwork representing the ocean. Here are some tips from our kindy class: James K: Just keep it clean, don’t throw garbage on the beach. Annika: Pick up the rubbish, NEVER feed it to sea creatures! Penny: I picked up glass from the real beach. Never drop rubbish in the sea. Jasper: Don’t throw garbage in the water, that’s where sharks live. Luca: A turtle could eat a plastic bag! Brock: We don’t want eels to eat string in the water or they die. Jimmy: Don’t drop rubbish in the ocean. Rory: Don’t just drop rubbish on the floor, drop it in the bin. Josh P: Don’t make a mess on the beach. Malu: Put it in the bin! Jack: Don’t put bait in the rubbish or else. Jett: Don’t throw gloves on the beach. Reef: Don’t throw rubbish in the water.
