24.01.2022 If you see me wearing a mask in public and in the stores, I want you to know that... I'm educated enough to know that I could be asymptomatic and still give y...ou the virus. No, I don't "live in fear" of the virus; I just want to be part of the solution, not the problem. I don't feel like the "government controls me". I feel like I'm an adult contributing to security in our society and I want to teach others the same. If we could all live with the consideration of others in mind, the whole world would be a much better place. Wearing a mask doesn't make me weak, scared, stupid or even "controlled". It makes me caring. When you think about your appearance, discomfort, or other people's opinion of you, imagine a loved one - a child, father, mother, grandparent, aunt, uncle or even a stranger - placed on a ventilator, alone without you or any family member who is allowed at his bedside. Ask yourself if you could have helped them a little while wearing a mask. Copied and posted. Will you do the same? Be safe people

23.01.2022 It's been good to see some progress with the Moyne Shire councillors and their commitment to safer cycling within the towns of the Moyne Shire. Do we know where the hopeful new candidates stand on this important issue? Let's ask the question....

17.01.2022 Getting back to the gym? After a long break, be cautious with your programme, as you build to pre iso levels...

17.01.2022 Port Fairy Physio hiring! Watch this space.....

15.01.2022 It's wonderful to see so many of the Port Fairy Community support this initiative, both through participation and donation. Team Ross is doing an amazing job of fundraising, with the total continuing to climb. I'm planning to run a 1/2 marathon over the coming weeks, and no doubt Franco will be my number 1 sponsor.....and maybe Larry! Good luck to everyone involved. Port Fairy is a wonderful community

14.01.2022 Thanks for all the "likes". This page will give us a platform to advise you of how we are working to safely provide ongoing physiotherapy services in Port Fairy. It is difficult negotiating all of the distancing requirements, but with strict hygiene, and following government and health department guidelines, we continue to operate. We will be here for the community in any way we can as always, and hope that you all remain safe and well. Please message us if you have any specific problems we might be able to help you with.

13.01.2022 Physical distancing is working, so let’s keep it up. Remember to stay 1.5 metres apart and avoid physical greetings. Together, let’s be #COVIDSafe. Visit health.gov.au for the latest advice.

13.01.2022 Almost the start of another week....if you are not sure about coming in with a particular problem, give us a call and we may be able to organise a telehealth consultation if appropriate. Download the free physiapp and we can sort out your exercise needs remotely. If you need to come in, we continue to consult as necessary.

11.01.2022 Who can remember an Anzac Day white like this? This morning, a poem by Clive James was recited....... "My Father Before Me" At noon, no shadow. I am on my knees... Once more before your number and your name. The usual heat, the usual fretful bees Fitfully busy as last time I came. Here you have lain since 1945, When you, at half the age that I am now, Were taken from the world of the alive, Were taken out of time. You should see how This hillside, since I visited it first, Has stayed the same. Nothing has happened here. They trim the sloping lawn and slake its thirst. Regular wreaths may fade and reappear, But these are details. High on either side Waves of apartment blocks roll in so far And no further, forbidden to collide By laws that keep the green field where you are, Along with all these others, sacrosanct. For once the future is denied fresh ground. For that much if no more, let God be thanked. You can’t see me or even hear the sound Of my voice, though it comes out like the cry You heard from me before you sailed away. Your wife, my mother, took her turn to die Not long ago. I don’t know what to say -- Except those many years she longed for you Are over now at last, and now she wears The same robes of forgetfulness you do. When the dreams cease, so do the nightmares. I know you would be angry if I said I, too, crave peace. Besides, it’s not quite so. Despair will ebb when I leave you for dead Once more. Once more, as I get up to go, I look up to the sky, down to the sea, And hope to see them, while I still draw breath, The way you saw your photograph of me The very day you flew to meet your death. Back at the gate, I turn to face the hill, Your headstone lost again among the rest. I have no time to waste, much less to kill. My life is yours, my curse to be so blessed. (TLS, October 8, 2004)

05.01.2022 Well done Port Fairy. Keep strong. Keep safe

05.01.2022 https://www.abc.net.au//coronavirus-brings-once-i/12247870 Well, I’m not sure if anyone else has noticed, but there are lots more people on bikes lately. It’s fantastic.... and it needs to be safe. Moyne Shire doesn’t seem to want to invest in cycling infrastructure around town- cleaning up the road edges; road stencils etc. Children should be safe when riding on the roads. How can we make this happen?

03.01.2022 On the way! Clinical pilates reformers to add to our lonely 1. Classes will be happening soon, so get ready.......

03.01.2022 Living in Port Fairy, we have so many opportunities to ride a bike rather than drive a car. Go ahead. Just do it!

01.01.2022 In any language, this makes sense. Share the road. Mutual respect Thanks
