16.01.2022 It has been brought to my attention that a rumor is circulating in Port Fairy that the Port Fairy Yacht Club has not paid rent to the Moyne Shire Council. While... this is correct the reason this has occurred is that we do not have a lease. Council has informed us that they cannot accept payment. During the last 5 years PFYC has set aside funds to pay the funds owing, when Moyne Shire finally present us with an invoice. Darrel Cairns Port Fairy Yacht Club See more

14.01.2022 Historically, the role of the navigator was to know where you were and to keep the boat in navigable water. Today the modern navigator's role needs to comb thr...ough a myriad of information available today and making sense of it to be able to put your boat in the best position to take advantage of the up-coming conditions. The ORCV has two new online navigation courses using Expedition software. Course 1 covers the basics. Course 2 builds on the basics. For anyone who has mastered the foundations of Expedition, you are invited to join the Masterclass with Will Oxley. Learn what it takes to win an ocean race. 09.01.2022 Last week council agreed to proceed with the process towards granting the Port Fairy Yacht Club a lease over the site it has occupied for the 26 years. A notice... of intent will be published in the Warrnambool Standard calling for public comment, Council will then decide if it will proceed with a lease agreement. The Port Fairy Yacht Club would like to thank the Port Fairy and wider Community for its support in getting to the next stage in the process of being granted a lease. See more
